It was okay, it really only focused on the larger cities and LOTS on Disney World. I was looking for a nice beach that I could get enough information on I would know if I wanted to research it more. With the internet I can easily find stuff on bigger, more popular areas, and Disney. I didn't feel this book offered me anymore than the I could get online, other than the map that was in the back. I felt it was a waste of my money.
It gave hotels and condos, a few, I can find many more online, felt like only ones that paid them was the ones that made it to book, same for palces to eat. There wasn't much on things to do. The only thing that might be helpful was info on parking at certain beaches.

I used the Frommer's Travel Guide to Florida when we made our recent trip to Orlando. The book gave us terrific guidance at what to see at the Disney parks and what restaurants to go to. As usual, I found the book to be very objective and honest. To be frank, whenever we travel someplace, whether it is overseas or within the United States, I try to obtain the latest Frommer's Travel Guide.

After using Frommer's California guide for our trip in 2007, I expected a lot from this book. I expected lots of insider tips, Florida's best kept secrets, how to get to less frequented beaches and where to see undisturbed wildlife. Instead, I got a lot of info about Orlando, Miami, Disney etc. Eventually we did not use this guide much. Free brochures and coupon books provided better info.
