Bought this for my father who has all of the hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing books for the entire US. Got him this and he absolutely loved it. One thing to note though- this is not necessarily for back country drives. It covers mostly cities and things to see while driving through the cities. Something to keep in mind if you're looking for a cruising drive book.

We used this book for our autumn New England trip. I really recommend this book. Really, really helpful with great suggestions. We used it in conjunction with The Colors of Fall Road Trip. I would not go to New England without both of them. We will use these books many times in the future. It would be hard to choose between them. Maybe if I had to choose I would choose this one but I recommend both.

I am finally tackling the foliage tour of New England. I ordered several books, from Atlas to tour guides. This Frommer's 23 Great Drives in New England sounded perfect. But, there are too many numbers, from maps, to routes, to stops along the way, very confusing. And I don't know about any one else but when I am looking at a map of a New England state, I need the name of the state on the map! I could not ever figure out the layout, wasn't alphabetical, wasn't geographic (Rhode Island was right before Vermont, Massachusetts was before Connecticut) I am exhausted!
