About the Author In the past decade, Stephen Jermanok has written more than 100 articles on Vermont and New Hampshire for such publications as Outside, Men's Journal, National Geographic Adventure, Outdoor Explorer, Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel Magazine, and the Boston Globe. Regarding books, Mr. Jermanok is a contributor to Lonely Planet's Guide to New England, Men's Journal's The Great Life, Discovery Channel's North American Wilderness Guide, and Discovery Channel's Paddling North America Guide. He's the New England outdoor expert for www.gorp.com, and many of his stories can be found on www.travelintelligence.net and on his Web site, www.activetravels.com. Mr. Jermanok's latest screenplay, Sally's Gamble, was just filmed in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He resides in Newton, Massachusetts, with his wife and two young children.
