The Irreverent Guides give you the lowdown, the inside story. They have nothing to sell but the truth, which includes a balance of good and bad. They praise, they trash, they weigh, and leave the final decision up to the reader. Our writers take a special pleasure in leading you where other guides fear to tread.

This review is from: Frommer's Irreverent Guide to London, 3rd Edition (Irreverent) (Paperback)
I had been to London two times before but never to the "tourist" sites. Basically I wanted to know what was worth seeing and what wasn't. The book is good for that. Two things are sort of lame: no mention of the Tate Modern, I had to find info on that from elsewhere. Secondly, no maps, just phone numbers. So this book is good as a companion. I also read London by Rutherford, very good history, and brought along Londonwalks by Powell. All three together were great.
