5.0 out of 5 stars Best Boston Guidebook, April 21, 2010
A friend recommended this as the best Boston guidebook -- she was right. Not only did we learn a lot about the city and its history, the maps saved us a bunch of times. And even when we did get lost (which seems to be inevitable in Boston), we ended up stumbling across neat things. It was great to be a tourist in Quincy Market and pretend to be a local in the North End. We can't wait to return and explore some more.

4.0 out of 5 stars A reasonable guide to Boston, July 24, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Frommer's Portable Boston (Paperback)
Bought this for a trip to Boston this past December and the tips to places were great but the text was small, even for a portable guide. The maps were hard to read so I had to go find one a tourist center too. I definitely enjoyed the details about restaurants and hotels that were affordable and places to visit but it could have been easier to read with more breaks.
