Ordered this book since I wil be spending 10 weeks in DC and needed to learn the ins and outs of the area quickly. Received the book in 2 days as promised, with free shipping thanks to Amazon Prime (Yey!). Was reluctant to order at first but now couldnt' be happier that I did. Great little book, not too heavy to lug around, comes with a fabulous removable downtown map (general area map on side, same thing in detailed grid version on the other). Has metro map as well on back inside cover - another awesome feature. Picked up the book last night to skim and "assess" the quality of the book, and I ended up reading in it for about 30 minutes. Easy read, with excellent pointers on virtually everything. Now I don't feel as anxious about my trip and look forward to the adventure! No pictures, but who cares. Look them up online. Fab find!

This guidebook was very good. Suggested a great find off the beaten track, besides the usual museums.

We first went to the bookstore and looked over the different options and found this to be the most informative. Then we went back home and checked prices on Amazon. Not only was it significantly cheaper, with free shipping and no tax, it was a real steal of a bargain.
