This is a recording of lesser known American marches (at least they are to me in the UK) and I had certainly not heard most of them before - I particularly enjoyed 'Lights Out'. 'The Fire Master' and 'Regimental Pride' - they are all expertly played by The United States Air Force Band and not played too fast - the real bonus about this recording to me is that there are no items by Sousa ! - what a joy

Most of the 26 marches (69:09 playing time) on the "Front & Center" CD are new to me, with the exception of "The Billboard"; "Bull Trombone"; "The Kilties"; "Lights Out"; "Them Basses"; and "Washington Grays". This album is absolute perfection from the exceptional playing of The United States Air Force Band (every bit as great as the United States Marine Band) to the clarity and brilliance of the recording itself. The Linear Notes are very informative. If you love marches, this album is a a great addition to your collection. I especially enjoy playing this CD while working out on my treadmill.
