Too many people are rating this product based on their enjoyment of the GAME. If I were to take 52 index cards, draw playing cards on them and charge $20, you wouldn't rate my product at five stars just because you like Poker, would you? That's basically what too many people are doing here. The GAME of Liar's Dice is very fun, but this PRODUCT is overpriced garbage. I couldn't recommend this product at $10... $20 is just outright theft.
The dice are unnecessarily smaller than standard size. The four cups are two different sizes. There is no mechanism (latch, magnet) that keeps the case closed other than gravity. Best of all, the rules that come with this product are like no version of Liar's Dice I have ever played. Even Wikipedia has no mention of the nonsense rules this product provides, and with good reason.
The "big box retailer" near me sells a vastly superior Liar's Dice product, for around $7. I hate to endorse cheap, Chinese-made products, but Front Porch Classics deserve nothing less than bankruptcy for trying to foist this garbage on an unwitting public.
The rounds are short and it can easily be adjusted for 'house rules' if you don't like the rules that come with it.
The game you see pictured is not actually how the game comes. When we opened the container for the game we played, 2 of the dice were poorly inked and the cups were the imitation-clay version that look like small cups. The ones pictured in the image here look much better. The cups we got fit inside each other so that they are easy for transport and storage, which is really the only difference.
Even though it was not as pictured, we loved the game and the inconsistency of the image did not detract from the fun we have playing the game.
When I purchased it from Amazon, I was stunned at how different it was. The cups are plastic and lined with felt, and the outside has stickers on it that are falling off. They are hideous and very low quality. I was expecting clay cups with the design etched into them because that's what I purchased before. The box itself does not close all the way, either. The box also was slightly damaged on the edges when it arrived, but I cannot say whether this is from the manufacturer or shipping. Others have commented on the quality of the dice, but I did not even play a game before I decided to return this to Amazon.
Overall, I was disappointed because it was of inferior quality as what I purchased for my friend just a few months earlier. That said, I look forward to finding a higher quality version of the game because it is a GREAT game to play with friends.

Just arrived, I'm sure we will have fun with it. It's a Christmas gift though so it'll be waiting in a closet for a while. It came damaged, one corner is bashed in. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Jonathan C. Nowak

I have had mostly positive experiences buying from Amazon, but this one fly in the ointment really takes the cake. First of all, the dice are multi-colored. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Tim Scholze
