Product Features

  • Can provide active illumination at both the front and rear ends of a bike to promote visibility and safety. The white light does not replace a headlamp but does increase visibility if used with a headlamp.
  • Easy to install and uninstall; no tools required. The red universal tail light snaps on to most seat rails. The white front light securely attaches to brake and gear cables.
  • Installs securely and is reliable for off-road use because it is shock and water resistant
  • L.E.D. light has two modes: flashing and steady glow; long life replaceable batteries are included
  • L.E.D. light must be activated by pressing the button until fast flashing is observed (~10 seconds)

Product Description

The Nite Ize BikeLit Safety Bicycle Light is the perfect complement to other bicycle lights including spoke lights and headlights because it produces visibility that other bike lights are unable to provide. The front and rear bicycle lights install easily and can be carried in a backpack or pocket when not in use. Further, the L.E.D. lights can be turned on in two modes: steady glow and flashing. Recommended uses include adult commuters, avid road cyclists, parents with children in a bike seat or bike trailer, and youth cyclists riding around their neighborhood. The L.E.D. lights must be activated by pressing their buttons for 10 seconds or until fast flashing is observed. Instructions are included that detail how to replace batteries.

4.0 out of 5 stars Seem sturdy, but hard to turn on, September 19, 2010
This review is from: LED Front / Rear Safety Bicycle Light by Nite Ize (Misc.)
I didn't realize at first that you need to hold the on button for several seconds to get the light to stay on for more than a few seconds, so they kept turning off on me. In general, it seems like a good product- sturdy and attaches well. Once I get used to turning them on, I think I'll be really happy with the lights.

4.0 out of 5 stars BikeLit - exactly what I needed, January 20, 2011
This review is from: LED Front / Rear Safety Bicycle Light by Nite Ize (Misc.)
The NiteIze BikeLit red LED light is the perfect bargain rear bike light. I needed a rear light that is lightweight, small, bright, and blinks. The seat rail installation is also very convenient. Bought mine from my local Sport Chalet for about $9. Sure, there are many other lights on the market that have more features, but didn't need much since I also use a red LRI Photon LED that I wear on my backpack. These two lights are the perfect combo for rear night use.

I wouldn't recommend using this light by itself, but works great in combination with other bike lights and can be seen from at least a block away. Also, the front (white LED) light kinda sucks, so I would recommend getting something else (like a Knog brand LED light).
