What you get in the repair kit is
35mm ID, 80mm OD, 21mm wide bearing
30mm ID, 72mm OD, 19mm wide bearing
40mm ID, 80mm OD, 10mm wide double lip oil seal with garter spring
There are plenty of manufactures of good quality bearings. The specifications for the industrial bearings I used are good for about 50% more load than the bearings that came with this kit.
The shaft seal (more commonly called an oil seal) is a bit of a problem. It's a triple wiper, no spring seal. More research and talking to a mechanical engineer, I found that triple seals are used in farm equipment and/or muddy environments. The seal included in this kit is a double lip seal with garter spring, not exactly the same. I can't find an triple lip replacement anywhere.
One problem with the double lip seal is it rubs on a brass sleeve, and after the 50 loads, the seal had worn a small groove (maybe 0.010" deep) in the sleeve. The original seal ran for over 3000 loads and didn't groove the sleeve. I don't know if this is going to be a long term problem or not, it may make a groove, settle in and be happy.
If I were going to do it again, I'd start with the industrial bearings and a double lip oil seal without the garter spring. It's about the same price as this kit and significantly higher quality.Read more ›
This kit fixes what's broken and saves you about $200 (when you factor in the price of shipping the tub) and frankly it only takes a half hour to knock the old bearings out and press the new ones in. (You still have to pull the tub out which is the majority of the effort.)
Parts arrived quickly. The website is informative and when I had a question, he answered it the next day.
to see that the ones I replaced (original bearings) were made in Poland.
This is my second time taking the machine apart (first time was the spider), and first bearing job.
So I would say I am pretty experienced with this.
It will be interesting to see how long these last (one other review said they were good for 50 loads).
In my case, so far so good.
Good prompt service, and as I said, as advertised.

The parts were exactly what I needed, but doing the task was not as much fun as the internet less you believe. Read morePublished 14 months ago by Nicholas Baumann

Not a bad job to do, seal is off lesser quality than OEM. 2 months in, several loads through.. still quite no leaks
Just wish they put the brass spacer in the kit.
