Good for Beginners,
This review is from: FrontPage 2003 Essential Training (CD-ROM)
I used Frontpage 2003 from the beginning for my site. I purchased many books but was dissapointed with most of them. The Lynda series has some great training videos. It's nice to watch a video and see how a web page is put together, much easier than reading. I learned a lot with this video. Just copy the cds to your computer, read the readme file to get started. I would have the video running while working on my site, then pause the video and try what I just learned, very nice. This video just covers the basics so it's good if you are just starting. If you want advanced training you won't get much from this video, however, there's lot here to learn. While Frontpage 2003 is no longer available (it has been replaced with Expression Web) it's an easy to learn easy to use web design tool and a great place to start. If you are just starting out I highly recommend Frontpage and this video can make the learning more fun.

Inferior product,

This CD is the most inferior training product I have ever used. First, you would think that for the $49.95 price there would be a book - but no - just two CDs with no instructions on how to access them.
I believe that Microsoft is no longer updating this product. So why offer an inferior CD to learn it. I hope our school district abandons this web authoring application for something more user friendly like Dreamweaver. |
