I love caraway seed. It is one of my favorite savoury flavors and I use it a lot in making my homemade sauerkraut and in many of my raw food preparations, such as my flax crackers, sprouted bread, veggie side dishes and garden salads.
I prefer organic caraway and it's not always easy to find. It usually means a trip to the bulk bins at the local health food stores and then I'm not always satisfied with the price or the quality. It's most likely overpriced and the seed is old, stale or rancid. I have discovered that Frontier Organic Caraway Seed, Whole, 1.96-Ounce Container (Pack of 4) is not only a great organic caraway seed but a great value here at Amazon as well. The 1.96-ounce jars are just about the perfect size for me. I can use up a jar quickly and don't have to worry about the product's freshness. The flavor is vibrant and I delight in it. If you enjoy fresh organic caraway seed as much as I do, you will enjoy this one. |
