Frost King Clear Plastic Weather-seal Tape can be used indoors or outdoors, because it is completely weatherproof and can withstand extremes of both heat and cold. It is ideal for installing plastic storm windows, sealing air leaks, repairing cracked glass and much more. It has a special adhesive system which permits application even at ten below zero temperatures.
I have used this tape for two years and it really cuts down on my heating bills. First I use Frost Kings soft weather strip for leaky spaces then apply the tape. If you then use plastic film to cover your windows you will get no air coming in. I live in a Victorian home and it would be drafty without this method. I've done my windows without the tape in previous years and it is far more effective with the tape and so easy to use. It's a real money saver. SG

I guess I had kind of a special circumstance in which I needed this product. My bedroom has a large window that has a screen on it, but the top of the screen leaves about a 1/4 inch gap between the screen and the window pane. It's small, but enough space for bugs and lizards to get through (I've seen on multiple occassions a lizard between the screen and the window)
This wouldn't be a problem normally, however during the summer it was extremely hot and we wanted to sleep with our window open. I obviously didnt want mosquitos and lizards coming in at night, so i sealed the entire window (the space between the screen and the pane)using this tape. This tape is 2" wide which was too wide for my purpose, so I cut each strip down the middle to give me a 1" wide piece.
I have had the tape on for a few months now. It has withstood moderate heat (95 degrees or so) and a couple of rainstorms. Looks just like it did the day I put it up.
Before winter fully kicks in I will use the rest of the tape to seal up some other windows in the house. I would recommend this tape.

First of all, the amount tape you get in this package is TINY - 25 feet is equal to 8.33 yards! This was not even enough to seal my living room 3-pane window.
Second of all, the tape does not stick to the back of itself if I am trying to go over the pre-taped parts to cover the latches. It stood up straight on edges that I folded.
FYI: Duck EZ also 1.88 inches wide instead of 2 inches of Frost King Tape, which is not a big deal for application as window insulation, but since you are getting 180 feet of Duck vs 25 feet of Frost King, the width difference is not an issue.

Glue is not damaging to surfaces, but you can get the same outcome by using regular clear packing tape and just being careful when removing it.... Not worth paying more, no real "insulating" properties

Great stuff. I can't use caulk because I am too sensitive to the fumes. This stuff works really well. I live in an old house and it's really good for sealing up drafty window frames and such.

I bought this to secure visqueen across the outside of my jalousie door. The tape didn't last a month, and I applied it in September within the suggested application temperature limits. I went right to Gorilla Tape (much better than duct tape) and it's held for 2 years now... ugly but effective. I would skip this purchase, don't waste your money.

This is THE tape to use when dealing with 6mm plastic for greenhouses and other uses, where it is going to be exposed to direct sunlight and rain. THANK YOU AMAZON, FOR A GREAT VARIETY OF PRODUCTS and BEST SELECTION OF PROVIDERS.

I use it around the windows during the winter; it makes a noticeable difference. I highly recommend it for keeping in the warmth (or keeping cold in if you prefer)
