Just a brief comment about what you get with this CD:

A single audio CD in a slim clear plastic jewel box. There is no paper insert, no program list, just a clear jewel box and a CD. The jewel box is wrapped in clear plastic, and there is a sticker on the back with an ISBN number.

On the CD is a one inch photo of Robert Frost, and "An Evening With Robert Frost" title.

When you put the CD in a player, it has one long 55 minute audio recording called Track 1. There is a brief Track 2, and there is no way to skip, search or find specific areas of the CD that you may wish to listen to once again. If you hit "forward" or "back" on your CD player, you will go to the beginning or the end of this single long audio track, and struggle to find the place where you were in the lecture.

The lecture is given by Robert Frost himself. It is in San Francisco 1956 and in front of a live audience. It is on The audio quality is only fair. For instance, when the audience laughs or claps, it is exceedingly loud as you will have turned up the volume to hear Mr. Frost. Mr. Frost is a witty person, so you will hear the audience often.

The only redeeming value of this audio archive is the 55 minute speech by Mr. Frost. He reads from his works, including some of the most famous like "Stopping By The Woods on a Snowy Evening". He explains some things about each poem, and even reads the short ones twice. He is funny and kind-hearted and a joy to hear. The audio quality allows you to hear him reasonably well, but you will turn the volume up considerably. There is only faint "scratching" hiss, but occasionally there is a skip and loss of a couple seconds of audio (unfortunately, this occurred during "Stopping By The Woods...").
