I got the 1st in the series and had to have the second one.

She looks better in this one for sure, but it's something about her elongated nose that doesn't fit her face.

The illustrations are fantastic and expressive, and the story is beautifully adapted.

Today I behaved like a kid at a candy store, completely happy and slightly deranged, because my copy of Frostbite arrived. Then I opened it and four pages fell off...
No. I'm not kidding. However, this is a manufacture error and has nothing to do with the awesomeness that is this comic. Three very important things I was hoping for and got.

1) Mason: with his red hair he looks absolutely gorgeous in a green shirt. The scene where he dies made me tear up all over again.

2) Adrian: who made me swoon all over the place. He looks exactly like I imagined him while reading. I wish he'd gotten more great lines though. I still got shivers when he appeared saying "little dhampir" *squee* '

3) Dmitri and the promise of things to teach. Oh yes. That last two page drawing totally made my day. Mwuahaha.

Now, MOAR PLZ!

When you love a series as much as I did with the Vampire Academy, I will look for anything to revisit the characters again. Also, since I am starting to read more graphic novels lately, this book was able to fill both needs at one time.

While the book does not go as in depth as the books do, they are a good refresher book to help you remember things that happened in the actual novels. While we refresh our memories through this book, we also get some amazing artwork that helps bring the characters alive in our minds through sight. The artwork is amazing in my opinion. The artists really did outdo themselves with bringing little details to life with their art.

If you are wanting to read this series as a graphic novel instead of the actual book, then this book gives you a story without going overboard. I also feel that this is a great way to refresh your memory if you were fans of this series in regular print work. Overall a great addition to have if you are a serious Vampire Academy fan or if you are just starting out on the adventure.

I started my son on comic books, then graphic novels to help motivate him to read. These Vampire Academy graphic novels are very good adaptations of the actual novels they represent. The primary protagonists are female, so at 12 years old, while my son enjoyed this graphic novel, he complained that it was "girly." As a 50 year old adult male, I never even thought about it. I gave it four instead of five stars based on my son's opinion, and in comparison to the really good graphic novels we have read.

I loved Frostbite: the Graphic Novel. It did have a few flaws. I never pictured that Rose's mom looked like the way she was portrayed. I'm excited for the third installment.

I LOVEEEE it! It really helps you view the fights better, as well as the connection between the characters! The Friends of the Houston Public Library shipped it almost at once! I highly recommend them, as well as this book!

I love this. it's like watching a movie , except now I don't have to worry that it's not true to the book.
