Story about dog and friends in Santa Fe, New Mexico,

I've had this book for many years. It is a favorite of mine. The children featured in the story are my family. The book is about a husky dog and the neighbor children. The setting is Santa Fe, New Mexico. I've read this book to my children and now to my grandchildren. It is great.
