Frozen by Girls under Glass was purchased because I like hearing good remixes and the ad I had read in the magazine made it look like I might enjoy it. I was not disappointed. I feel that the Girls Under Glass version of Frozen is actually better then Madonna's and I normally like Madonna. The other songs on the album are good songs, although none stoud out in my mind. What did stand out was the mix on the CD, going from the gothic/dance/pop version of Frozen with a female lead singer, into a dark Gothic male lead hard beat and then back to a lighter song on the third track. What I found though, was I liked listening to it, it is rare to have that kind of mix and still have it flow. I recommend this CD if you like Gothic, Industrial or Metal.

I love this album! I have to admit I love all GUG albums and was even a little dissapointed when I saw there where only 6 songs on it, but I listened to it and was still very happy with my purchase. I recommend it along with all their other albums

Girls Under Glass's album Frozen begins with a Madonna cover. You get three guesses as to which Madonna song this is.... The album is a mixture of light, melancholic synthpop and subdued guitar solos. I am not a fan of electric guitars, but the music should be listenable even to electro-purists. Well, except for maybe the fourth track, Desire Lasts Forever. The guitars do build into that mosquito sound I so dislike....The music is a mixture of treated male vox, clear male vox, and soaring choral female vox. Track five, Grey is Grey, features the soothing vocals of Peter Heppner from Wolfsheim. The only new song on this album is Frozen. The rest of the tracks are treatments of older Girls Under Glass songs, possibly being re-released in hopes to garner new North American fans. I think the ploy worked; I'd never really listened to them before, but I'll soon be playing them on my radio show.
