I've read other material from this author. Aside from the fact that his style is entertaining and humorous, he's knowledgeable and practical without being condescending.

If you're a twenty-something, you may not have thought of the ideas contained in this very short book. However, it's really just horse sense. If you're expecting gift ideas, this isn't the book. It's more about rethinking gift-giving: Secret Santa, using e-bay, shopping black Friday sales, making homemade gifts, etc. But, hey, it was $3.00.

This super short book didn't tell me anything I didn't already know; take advantage of black friday and cyber monday deals, decide not to exchange gifts with your family, and make a gift instead of buying one. I thought this book would give more some specific ideas on homemade gifts and other non-gift giving traditions.
If you have never shopped in your life, this book may be useful to you.
