3.0 out of 5 stars Good tips, but can be found elsewhere June 11, 2012
By JHH
Format:Kindle Edition
I downloaded this because it was free. This was a very quick read and packed with information for people who have no clue where to start. There are just as free good website and blogs out there now on how to save money on groceries. I liked that she did include recipes. Some of her advice is not very do-able for someone like me to lives in a tiny condo with only one refrigerator and one small pantry. Also, you need time to do a lot of these money saving tips. Yes, going to farmer's markets, grocery store, Costco, AND Walmart on top of clipping coupons and comparing prices in the Sunday ads will maximize savings, but at some point, my time (especially when I work my 80hour weeks) is worth much more.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic book for every homemaker May 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I know that stuff in the kitchen can be very expensive, especially those foodstuffs that we used for our cooking can really added up a lot of money. It can be quite painful for the pocket. I have tried various means to save money by buying "reduce-to-clear" veges, fruits, and even canned food. But sometimes, these foodstuffs can do more harm than good when they are near their expiry date. That is why I am searching for possible ways to save money for stuffs in the kitchen. I stumbled upon this book and wondered if it claimed what it is being mentioned. To my surprise, the content provided really works, especially the chapter on homemade savings, and lend a hand. These are two of the chapters are power-packed with good information on how to save money in the kitchen. Highly recommended for any homemaker out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Tips May 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I love books that provide excellent tips and is full of good content and not fluff that I can purchase inexpensively. I purchased the author's other book Confessions of a Coupon Fashionista, and found so many tips I thought I would give this book a try as well. Glad I did.

I found the book to be full of tips that will truly keep some savings in the pocket, and now a days we need to save anywhere we can. And the kitchen is an area that can easily explode a family budget.

If your looking for ways to cut back start in the kitchen and get this book, you will be glad you did. Very useful information that we all can implement.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sound advice to help you trim your grocery bill! June 4, 2012
By ARK
Format:Kindle Edition
I'll be honest and say that I'm somewhat of an expert on frugal grocery shopping, so I picked up this book seeing if there was anything I didn't already know. This is more than just using some coupons and buying extra of an item when it's on sale kind of book. The author does a great job of covering a multitude of topics such as breaking down when produce is in season (a great resource) and how to store food appropriately (and for how long). I even picked up some great tips on gardening! This is really a great resource book for everyone's kitchen. I highly recommend, this is a book I'll be referencing for a long time to come.

Even though I'm in a different country and some of the tips don't apply to New Zealand, this book still has great ideas and recipes. I think I'm pretty frugal but there are heaps of new ideas I've gained from the book.
