Frugal Feasts is a little gem of a book. The recipes are full of variety and I have learned much about other cultures from it. The ingredients are usually to be found in my cupboard and the instructions are brief and uncomplicated. I recommend it.

Both Gloria and I are glad to have copies of Mary's "Frugal Feasts!" As year round residents of Mexico's Pacific Coast, we are happy to have access to a cookbook which not only is easy and economical but which uses ingredients readily available to us in Mexico. The recipies are fun to make, the instructions are clear & easy, and the results are (ususally) delicious! If they aren't delicious, it's most often my mistake!!

I have given this inexpensive book to several college bound students, including my daughter, who are unanimous in the opinion that it is great to be able to cook something besides spaghetti! The servings for one are easily doubled or quadrupled when company comes.
