It wasn't easy at all for me. I love to eat! But it was worth it! I did lose 9 pounds which was amazing because I am not overly overweight. I needed to lose about 4 pounds. But I wanted to cleanse my system as well. The first 2 days I was a little tired, but then my energy level restored itself. I recommend drinking a LOT of water with this plan. It kept me feeling full most of the time. There were no special foods to buy and the only supplement you needed was protein powder. Oh! And the Jay Robb protein powder (I had Vanilla) was actually tasty. Not so with a lot of powders. So give it a shot. It was worth it.

Note that this book is not for a diet plan (although you will lose weight) but for a detoxification plan, a plan that cleanses your body from toxins and harmful foods and other substances. The book is short (only 48 pages including bibliography, ads, endorsements, etc.) but is more than enough to understand how to do the Fruit Flush. I have hypoglycemia and have been able to perform it successfully to the end only once. I have gone through it unsuccessfully (stopped it part of the way through) about four times. It is hard for me to follow because of my blood sugar issues and still perform my job; if I had someone preparing the meals for me and if I didn't have to work it would be much easier as I always get really sick on a detox. Note that Jay Robb himself has hypoglycemia and says that it helped him with his hypoglycemia, however. The Fruit Flush is a healthy and effective detox, not faddish at all. It isn't cheap, but if you are going to do this cleanse, you have to use clean, whole foods and a good healthy protein powder. Otherwise it isn't really a cleanse. This is a very useful book for a sound, well-grounded detox plan. Recommended. ****

WOW! I can't believe that I lost 7 pounds on this fruit flush. When I read the other reviews I thought that because I'm only 10 lbs. from my goal weight that I wouldn't lose much, but I did! I have to admit that I was very hungry most of the time, but I was motivated to keep going because I knew the next time I got to eat would be only an hour or so away. I have been stuck at a certain weight in my weight loss efforts for about a month, and this was just what I neded to get me over the hump and recharge my enthusiasm. Now that I've finished the fruit flush with such great success, I'm going to continue with Jay's "Fruit Diet" to get me to my goal weight.
Both plans are super easy to follow, and feature immediate, impressive results. The first day on the Fruit Flush, I was headachy. The second and third days that was better, but I was, like I said before, hungry most of the time. But it was definitely worth it for me. I'm psyched! I've tried pills and many different diets with minimal success. I was very discouraged. I feel that I've found a great tool for healthful, easy and effective dieting. I highly recommend Jay's books.
