About the Author

Mindy MacDonald graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Kinesiology. But it was not until she took a job at a local Christian bookstore where she discovered her passion for books. Mindy’s gift in storytelling was further cultivated as an elementary school education assistant and has since taken classes in writing children’s literature. Mindy and her husband are motivated by bringing God glory through their writing and musical talents. They make their home in central Oregon with their two cats, Jack and Charlie.

It's so hard to find Christian kids' books with nice art and kid-friendly text. This book has a fun little poem with a line or two per colorful page, which makes it perfect for a 2-year-old like mine who likes to move on to the next page quickly. Each page features a different "fruit" of the spirit (kindness, gentleness, self-control, etc.) and gives an example of how to exemplify each. Recommended as part of your teaching library!

I bought this book for my 4 year old grandson and 15 month old granddaughter. They love the easy flow of the words...the illustrations...and the colors. My daughter-in-law was reading it to the 4 year old with minor input from his sister and using each page to compare it to school and family. Such as patience...do you have to be patient while waiting in line with your friends and waiting for your turn? Wonderful little book about the fruit of the Spirit.

i have 3 boys 6,4, and 2 years old and this book has been very useful for me as a parent who is always looking for good religous books that truly teach about Jesus in an understandable way. I have also read this book in church to the small children and it was enjoyed. We really like this book a lot.
