5.0 out of 5 stars Conversions at Medjugorje
I know several of the people in this book. Their conversion
stories are real. They come from all walks of life, Catholic
and non-Catholic. Their testimony shows how God reaches down
in the smallest segments of our lives when we ask Him to
and helps us.

For those who can or are called to Medjugorje, I would
encourage them to go...

2.0 out of 5 stars Gave Me the Creeps
I bought this book because Elizabeth's Book on St. Therese is soooo wonderful, Shower of Roses. But a lot of these stories gave me the creeps. I am sure now that it is not the Blessed Mother appearing at Medjugorje. The stories here left me with an empty feeling, instead of the fullness of joy I felt at the stories about St. Therese. I had bought the book for...

5.0 out of 5 stars Witness from someone in the book, June 29, 2006
This review is from: The Fruits of Medjugorje: Stories of True and Lasting Conversion (Christian Classics) (Paperback)
I personally know several of the Catholics whose powerful stories of conversion are presented in this book vis-a-vis their visiting Medjugorje. Elizabeth Ficocelli has been wonderfully true to their stories. This gives me confidence that the remainder of her effort has been to document examples of the positive fruit of Medjugorje as accurately as possible.

Elizabeth does not attempt to prove or disprove the Medjugorje apparitions as other books do. Rather she has gone to the hearts of a few of the multitude of people whose lives have been deeply touched and converted by the Lord Jesus while at Medjugorje.

These beautiful stories are inspiring for faith as they call us to recognize that God is at work in our lives daily. This powerful book shows how God desires to enter into our hearts and lives beyond our small openings to Him. It thus challenges the reader to be more open in our response to our ever present Lord Jesus who beckons us to Himself each day.

The book also shows the incredible love that our Blessed Mother has for us and how powerful her intercession can be. Ultimately whether one believes in the apparitions of our Blessed Mother at Medjugorje or not, this book is filled with inspiring stories of the love of God at work in our world and in the lives of those who seek Him with sincere and open hearts.

I enjoyed this book the most of any I have read about Medjugorje. The stories are well edited and really inspire the reader to live Gospa's messages. This is not just another book about Medjugorje as a phenomenon. It is fascinating to read about how the people profiled have implemented the teachings that changed them and in effect, made them more Christ-like. They have shared their experiences by helping others. I would recommend this book to people who have any interest in Medjugorje, be they oldtimers or newcomers.

Fruits of Medjugorje is a must read! It proves how lives changes once they are touched by God in this village of Medjugorje. I know many of the people listed in the book. I have been to Medjugorje five times and now lead groups there with my own pilgrimage company. I am proud of Elizabeth's work and highly recommend this book to everyone.
There is nothing to fear in making your life better! Some people step back from conversion because they will have to learn to make better choices in their lives. The comfort zone is not always the best place to be! But when God holds you in His arms and you listen to His voice
you are having a closer walk to heaven! Heaven on earth will bring you peace, joy and much love!

This review is from: The Fruits of Medjugorje: Stories of True and Lasting Conversion (Christian Classics) (Paperback)
This is the best Medjugorje book that I have found, after Janice Connell's "Visions of the Children." The book is a collection of stories that trace how Medjugorje affected a number of visitors - including how they were called on the pilgrimage, their experience, and the choices they have made as a result of the trip. Inspiring book and a worthwhile read.

Therese. I had bought the book for inspiration, thinking that my prior doubts about Medjugorje may have been unfounded. But I was scared. The Bishop of Medjugorje has forbidden pilgrimages and propogation of messages since 3 ecclesiastical investigations have found nothing supernatural ( of God), though I didn't know that at the time. I forgive Elizabeth completely since she was not raised Catholic. I hope she writes more books with inspirational prayer stories, she has a real gift for it.
