Well to my delight, they fit perfect, the leather is a great quality, nice color to go with almost anything.
As I mentioned these boots (the 2nd pair) fit wonderfully and they smell heavenly!
They fit perfectly true to size and they are sooooooo comfortable.

I ordered these in my regular size of 8 1/2. I truly am a size 8 1/2 Wide but I went with the 8 1/2 instead of upsizing to a 9 because I didn't plan on wearing thick socks (but I still can) and I was concerned about my heel slipping if they are too large. The 8 1/2 fit me perfectly. I was concerned about my larger than normal calves but it wasn't an issue there, either. The stock photo depicts a structured boot but it is not. The leather is not lined and does slouch. I will include pics in the photo section of my dark brown, soft vintage Veronica slouch boots.

I got the veronica slouch boot in dark brown. The color was really nice. I usually am a 8.5 shoe and that is what I ordered. It fit well with normal socks but if you want to use thick socks order 1/2 size up. I say they are true to size and my feet are not thin. The boots do look narrow when you are looking down at them. I have a few issues with this boot, one is they are made in mexico not USA, nothing wrong with being made in mexico, but I thought Frye was US made. (most frye boots are marked made in USA on bottom) If I loved them that would not matter. The real issue is the "slouch" The leather is really thin to add to the worn look but I feel that it takes away from the quality of the boot. If I pay that much for a boot I want it to be thick leather. Thick leather will slouch just as well if not better. They look funny with my jeans tucked into them because of the thin leather it looks bunchy. They do look pretty cute with a skirt or leggings if that is what you like. hope this helps.

I have been in love with this boot for years. Have logged in many hours trying to find one similar to the veronica slouch, however, frye is a bit out of my price range. Came across this STEAL and could'nt pass it up. I have never been more pleased w/ any purchase, let alone an online one. Amazon is my new best friend. Customer service is stellar, and my boots arrived the next day. I havent taken them off since I opened the box. Since I have tried them on about 600 times I new they would fit perfect (very true to size) but I did'nt now they would be so comfortable. I also have the frye harness. Veronica much more comfy. Leather is butter soft and foot bed has lots of padding. (its an all dayer)I have large calves (15.5") and they fit them fine. You can adjust the shaft opening to fit smaller calves. So to summerize...If you've considered this boot, BUY IT!!!!!! you wont be disappointed.

Why do people like these boots? Everyone always says, I bought a couple sizes too big, but they fit great with socks! How about boots that just fit? Due to the lack of zippers there is no way to put these boots on unless you have extra/too much room. I bet they'd be great boots if you could get them on your feet.

I bought these in the extended wide calf. Because between genetics (thanks Aunt Irma) and playing soccer I have the calves o' doom.
My calves are 17 inches (dont judge, I'm sure you're not supermodel material either)
I have tried for years to find boots to fit. DECADES even.
And I have always come up empty handed and broken hearted. I wanted cool boots to wear with dresses too.

Awash in a sea of optimism (cross eyed hope) I pulled the trigger and bought these
(in a size 11 up from my usual size 10, because I found them on sale and they only had an 11, I figured I could wear socks)
And they fit, they were snug at first, but they fit.
::stunned silence:: they fit..holy cannolli they fit!
Now if Frye would just make the extended calf in other colors.

I can hear your protest "They're so expensive" Yes, they are.

BUT, for the average calved person, who probably buys several pairs of boots over their lifetime, lets say they spend an average of fifty dollars on each pair, thats seven pairs of boots for what these cost.
    And Frye boots last for.bloody.ever.
In my head the math works.

Save money, mow lawns, babysit. Have a yard sale (sell all those previous boots that didnt fit!) Just find the money and buy these babies and then you'll be skipping along in tall boot happiness along with me.

Caveats? Well you knew there had to be a few right.

First, the boot is call slouch for a reason. The shaft is softer, it is not hard and rigid. They stay up fine, no problem on my legs though.
And speaking of my legs, I'm short, and I have short legs (remember, no judging) So they come about three fingers below my knees.
If you're tall, or if you long legs, they may come lower.

I get compliments every time I wear them, and I wear them as much as possible.
I love these boots, I adore them.
And I bet you will too.

This was the third pair of boots I ordered. I'm 5'1", 110 lbs. I'm little, and all the gorgeous riding boot styles just swallowed me up. Not only too high in the shaft but gaping at the top of the boot. While these do not have the elegance of some of the others, they look wonderful and look classically riding boot and are exactly the right height and do not gape at the top. I wear a size 6, and ordered a size 6. I think when I do lots of walking I will need a thicker sock, because my foot does move around a bit in the boot. I highly recommend these boots, especially if you are petite and little.
