STRAIGHT TO THE POINT, CLEAR AND PRECISE NURSING FACTS!!,
By Never too much "nevertoomuch" (Oean Springs, MS) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Frye's 3000 Nursing Bullets for NCLEX-RN (Paperback)
This book helped me a great deal on my exams and some of my instructors got questions from this little book because alot of students think that the exams questions only come from those thick NCLEX review books. The book had short mostly single sentence facts on all aspects of nursing and medications. It is easy to read and carry around and it is a good reference book. The only thing I wish is that it could be sectioned out according to area, however by each fact it states the area but it still all together and if you're looking for something specific the page number in the glossary lead you to it. The writers of the book are nurses that teach the NCLEX and stay up on its changes so that it focuses on the important things and not nonsense. It is definately money well spent and not alot of money either.

Great addition to NCLEX books,
By
This review is from: Frye's 3000 Nursing Bullets for NCLEX-RN (Paperback)
I purchased this book for preparation for the NCLEX-RN a while back. Now that I'm preparing for my NCLEX in a couple of months, I decided to start reading it. After reading a few pages, I have noticed a difference. I started answering NCLEX questions and a few of the facts I read where in questions I answered. I plan on reading this book several times over so those facts will hopefully sink into my brain. It's a great on-the-go reading that you can whip out wherever you are and review facts.

Easy way to study,
By Inspir8tion (Los Angeles, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Frye's 3000 Nursing Bullets for NCLEX-RN (Paperback)
I really liked this book when studying for the NCLEX (just passed 7/2006). It has bullet points with information you need to know to pass the test. The bullet points are not in any kind of order which I liked because I knew the NCLEX would also not be in order. Points are reiterated in different parts of the book for reinforcement of learning. I found a few things wrong, but it did not discourage me from getting good information from this book.
This is not the only book I studied. I also used Kaplan and Saunders. Good luck on passing your NCLEX!

Super nurse!,
This review is from: Frye's 3000 Nursing Bullets for NCLEX-RN (Paperback)
This is a good book to help you in those "off" moments where you don't have enough time to get in depth into a book, but want to study. This book actually helped me with my tests in school too! The only bad part was I never made it all the way through!

Awesome Study Guide!,

This review is from: Frye's 3000 Nursing Bullets for NCLEX-RN (Paperback)
This book is an excellent review tool. Instead of long, drawn-out explanations, it gives little "bullets" of info on every subject they could possibly use on the exam. The info is broken down into segments short enough to review while in line at the grocery store, using the bathroom, or even while on hold on the telephone. It's perfect for short study breaks. I also love the way info is scattered throughout the book instead of put into sections (such as Surgical, Maternal/Newborn, Oncology, etc) because the actual exam each RN must pass is also scattered. It gets your brain ready for the randomness of NCLEX-RN.

I used this CD to study for my LPN Boards. Passed. I used this CD to skip the first and second semester of the RN progam. Passed. I got into third semester and was done in less than a year with perfect grades. Now I'm an RN and really recommend this CD because it has it all.

Little Book with Big Facts,
By
This review is from: Frye's 3000 Nursing Bullets for NCLEX-RN (Paperback)
When I opened the envelope this book came in I was dissapointed. I thought, I paid that much for this little thing." But it is wonderful. It is set up exactly the way I learn best. ONE LINERS about everything. I may not be able to remember everything in the 500 pages a night they get us to read at school but I can remember the one liners that give me all the info I need.

Lost Promise,
By
This review is from: Frye's 3000 Nursing Bullets for NCLEX-RN (Paperback)
it was like finally there is a self contained nursing info-manual. BUT it would not take u more than the first page, to realise how useless this book is. Information is so disorganized that u start to question the intention of the otherwise intelligent Frye. It might be a next edition strategy. but sufice is to say that he should also add some clarification to difficult terms. This book is definitely not for beginners. it promises a lot but most people i know have stop using theirs. look for resale until an improved edition.
