Riotously funny, a love letter, a sendup and an Ouroboros all in one.” (The New York Times)

“It's the easiest, and probably most entertaining, way to learn how to reach ideal levels of crispiness…” (GQ)

“From tumblr hype to printed glory, the sharp, satirical tone of Fuck Yeah Menswear successfully captures the voice of a generation. Not since Do's And Don'ts first published have we been this excited about a fashion book.” (Complex

)

“The latest in the line of blog-to-book sensations, Fuck Yeah Menswear is a hilarious new tome for the sartorially obsessed.” (San Francisco Chronicle)

If you assume this satire is strictly for those interested in menswear, you'd be slightly wrong. Naturally if you have no interest in hilarious prose and actual, genuine tips on styling, then you might not want it.

Don't be put off by the cuss words and slang. This isn't a serious guide to menswear. It's a guide to menswear written in jest, which is far more entertaining than an encyclopedia of terms and instructions.

I bought this book as a gift for my boyfriend who is a fan of menswear. I wanted to see what it was all about for myself and after reading, I felt it necessary that I write a review. Admittedly, when I first began reading, I didn't necessarily "get" all of the jokes. I began skimming through pages, skipping over some of the FYMW raps (?) that are what the original blog is comprised of. When I did stop at the other parts (Style Archetypes, etc), I found myself laughing (OUT LOUD!), which then made me go BACK to read the raps (? are they poems? slam poetry? sue me.) and then loved it.

The images are beautiful. The writing is intelligent, witty and an all-around riot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfection. November 8, 2012

If you follow menswear blogs, this book will floor you. Sartorial humor at its best, and it actually does provide a lot of useful information. A menswear guide (Bible?) if you will. Unfortunately, if you are not a follower of the blog scene, you may have a hard time understanding any of the humor. Then again, if you've even heard of this book, you probably are the former.

1.0 out of 5 stars Um, no menswear
This isn't a book about menswear. Maybe it's intended as a satire on books about men's clothing, but I'm not sure. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny
Admittedly, I'm a fan of blog-turned-book releases, but this particular book is a great blend of usable knowledge with humor and a little bit of rap/slam poetry thrown in the mix. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars The title alone tells you what an awful book this is going to be...
Awful book with an awful title. The book has no class or elegance and that's what menswear should be all about.

2.0 out of 5 stars What
Don't get me wrong, I love four-pins and a lot of the witticisms coming out of that area of the internet, but this is a goddamn waste of money.
