I just dont have the words to describe just how great this album is! Being a big fan of Byrd, I just added it to my collection and I have to say that it just may be my second favorite album he did as a leader (Byrd in Flight being my personal favorite). As always the fabulous Duke Pearson is AWESOME to say the least as are the others - Mclean, Watkins, Humphries. It is too bad Watkins had to leave this earth way too soon. He was incredible and very underated. Fuego is on fuego!!! By the way, this is my first ever Amazon review. I couldn't resist, because somebody had to give this gem the credit it is due.

This is a wonderful album. Beautiful sound. Passionate and haunting. Could listen to this everyday of my life. This is a desert island album. Enough said.
