carbon copy all saints with extra funk,
By A Customer
This review is from: Fuego (Audio CD)
This album is nice, vocal pop with a funky electronic edge. Certain songs are virtual copies of the all saints, I don't know if this has something to do with both bands coming from the U.K. or not. This is the sort of non-abrasive music which would fit in at almost trendy resturants around the world. There is a definite funk edge on several of the tracks which I enjoyed, also the production from Airdog Funk Research Labratory is top notch. You should buy it today.

Not like DJ Kicks Trinity HiFi,
By SL (RI) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fuego (Audio CD)
Trinity Hi-Fi on the DJ Kicks series was a mix of dub, drum and bass and downtempo with less focus on vocals. When I bought Feugo, I had no idea it would sound nothing like the the DJ Kicks release. I wouldn't even call Feugo, trip-hop, (at least not in the Trip Hop category of Portishead, Tricky or Massive Attack). Fuego contains nice/interesting use of synth and drum machines for funky sounds. Vocals are nice to listen to. If someone were to ask me who they are similar to, I would say they are a cross between Morcheeba and M People but apparently not as strong, vocally.
