The tanks for the Brunton AF stove are made of some sort of bonded/laminated metal. They look pretty stout and can probably take a few bumps, with no danger of puncture. However, the OEM manufacturer for the product may have slightly changed their specifications, as the tank that came with the stove is shorter than the one I purchased, but are both classified as 1 liter. Both tanks work well with no leaks or anything goofy, so they work well enough for me. . .
