Take every heavy metal cliché for song titles, simple but lame lyrics, and tired and retreaded riffs...put them together in one album and you have...Fuel to the Fire by Victory. And !

FUEL TO THE FIRE (2006) comes off as a new album to me. sure the songs are not new, with the exception of 1 new track "felt it coming". But with the addition of new vocalist Jioti Parcharidis and up dated recording technology, FTTF is fresh sounding and a great selection of their best metallic slabs such as "Running Scared" "Temples of Gold" and "Take the Pace" make it a must own for Metal fans of the Traditional variety. No Hype , No Nonsense, No Bull. Straight ahead Heavy Metal worthy of any respectable Metal collection. Good band that should pummel at 06's edition of the Wacken Open Air festival

I was pleasantly surprised when I first put this CD on. I shouldn't have been, since Victory has always been such a great band. It took me a while before getting around to picking this album up, but definitely a case of "better late than never". It's usually a touchy thing when a band goes back and re-records from their own catalog, but this CD stands on its own. It's not better than the originals, which are already great, these are different yet just as great. There are subtle differences to the song arrangements here and there, but nothing too different. They didn't change the songs simply to change them. I don't think that ever works too well. They also found their third vocalist who again fits right in to what the band is about. Most people aren't aware of this band, but for those that are and like them, this is another one to add to your collection.
