Lively & danceable!, November 11, 2005
This review is from: Fuerza! (Audio CD)
Judging by the sound clips, these are 12 eminently listenable tracks from artists I wouldn't mind hearing more of -- bouncy, danceable, hummable, reggae-ish, with lots of lively horns & a dance beat that's practically levitating me out of my chair! Truthfully, I only stumbled across this album while looking for a copy of the track "La Trampa" by Manu Chao & Tonino Carotone, which is the theme song for "Drew Carey's Green Screen Show." It's my 11-year-old son's current favorite TV show, and he sings & hums the song incessantly every time we see an episode. I'm buying the album because of that track, but as I said, based on the music clips, I can tell I'll be playing this album a lot. Here's the track listing with the artists' names (which, as I read Amazon's current entry, includes the track titles but not the artists):
1. La Trampa - Manu Chao & Tonino Carotone
2. Amor Pa Mi - Sergent Garcia
3. Hasta Siempre - King Mafrundi
4. La Raiz - Macaco
5. Le Cha Cha Cha - Dusminguet
6. Que Humanidad - Eliades Ochoa
7. Peligro - Mano Negra
8. Decadencia - El Gran Silencio
9. Urrun - Fermin Muguruza
10. Hasta Llegar - Les Negresses Vertes
11. Hi Hello - Anouk
12. Kid Chocolate - P18
