5.0 out of 5 stars the best
while other brands have a percentage of "for use as coaster only" discs, Fuji yields 100% usable CDs.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible!
These CDs are pretty slow to burn, but thats not a huge problem for me, until I played one for about 5 times the coating began to warp and come off. Come on! The rest began to do the same thing too! Don't buy these, unless they are going to be a one time use sort of thing, and you don't mind having a slow burn rate.

5.0 out of 5 stars Only purchase if it says "Made In Japan" on the label, July 20, 2005

The Japanese Fuji Film CD-Rs are hard to beat at any price.

The taiwanese Fuji CD-Rs make excellent drink coasters.

'Nuff said.

I think some of the problems people have had with Fuji media seems to lie in just where the product was made. The Fuji CD-R and DVD media I get is made in Japan, and I have never had any problems. However; I hear that Fuji media made elsewhere might have some defects.

I had extremely good luck with these compared to other brands I've tried. Out of a 30 pack, I was able to either burn audio or burn data on 30 of them in my Sony external DVD/CD drive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't understand why anybody would have problems with these, July 18, 2003

Fuji CD-Rs are excellent. I have used them to burn over 75 projects, include SVCDs, which are about the pickiest projects. Other brands (particularly the generic ones) may be cheaper, but you end up burning "coasters" that won't play in most DVD players. Fuji = No coasters!

I went through the entire spindle without making a coaster, using an old USB 4x burner, Windows 2000 and my laptop. Used mostly for audio, no problems in car or home cd players. Every burner/media/computer combination is different, maybe better to try a smaller quantity.

1.0 out of 5 stars Made in Taiwan ' not Taiyo Yuden ' piece of junk, June 6, 2008

I can attest all the one-star reviews since these were made in Taiwan, not Japan as I thought when I was redirected here. If you are looking for Taiyo Yuden like I was, keep looking and pass on these.

I for one am returning the ones I've just received today.

5.0 out of 5 stars If it is made in Japan you have it made in the shade!!, June 9, 2007
This review is from: Fuji 25304030 CD-R, 80 Minute (30-Pack) (Electronics)
As the author of the Jefferson Airplane book "Take Me To A Circus Tent" and a former radio disc-jockey, I am often asked to write and or discuss various recordings from the 60's and 70's.

Today I wanted to review the Fuji CD-R's because I wanted to point out why there have been such varied thoughts on the product.

I have recorded with Fuji for years and have had over a 99 percent success rate. I trusted many of my rough drafts of the book on a Fuji as well as every style of rock and roll music. One of the reasons you see such a difference in failure ratios from different reviewers are the unfair comparison of Fuji CD's not manufactured in Japan.

Those that show they are from another country are not held to the same quality control standards. If the blank CD is a product of Japan the end result will be perfect for music, voice, and or data.

Please remember that if you took out the reviews for the Fuji CD's that weren't made in Japan, the overall rating would be at or near 5 Stars!

Enjoy the music and be well,
Craig Fenton
