WOW WOW and WOW,
By Biggie Man - savior of the universe! "(hey so... (S.W. Pennsylvania) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fuji Satisfactions: Soundclash in Lagos (Audio CD)
This is some seriously wild stuff from Africa!!!
*** Funk? YES indeed!!! ***Trippy? Over the top psychedelic!!! ~~ Sort of like Youssou N'Dour on acid!!! This is one of those CDs that is so hard to categorize or describe that I hesitate to say much, really. There are so many cross cultural vibes going on here that I am at a loss. Let me put it this way: 1) the price is VERY RIGHT, you cannot go wrong there. 2) Are you musically open minded and enjoy going on a sound journey when you play a CD? This is a wild ride of a journey!!! There is much much world percussion here. MUCH drums. This is the real deal. Sorry I can't be all sophisticated in this review, but I am gonna guess my excitement comes through??? YES? That is what music is about for me. I listen to so much stuff, yet RARELY do I get this fired up. This stuff is cutting edge. It is NEW. You are crazy not to get it!!!! ENJOY!

Well if I had listen to this before puchase, I wouldn't have bought it. the titles are misleading, I was expecting some old classic, but it was just a twist to it. try listening to the sample first
