This is a great card adapter. The user who thought it would convert an xD card to a Compact Flash was misinformed and their rating should be held against this product. This card allows you to put your xD or SmartMedia memory card into your PCMCIA-equipped laptop to transfer pictures, etc. It works great and is highly recommended for the price. A rock-solid product in my opinion.

Bought this for a Canon photo printer that advertises it takes "all" memory cards -- that is if you have the right adapter. This problem appears to be unique to Fuji and Olympus XD picture cards. Canon reps said to buy the Fuji adapter card for the Fuji XD picture card we use in our camera, but that still didn't work. I have received a refund from the store that sold me the printer and now I'll try to get my money back for the card. Lesson learned: if you plan to print from an XD picture card (Fuji or Olympus) make sure the XD picture card is compatible without having to use a $50 adapter (which by the way could add 50-80% more to your total cost).

I purchased the Fujifilm XD Picture Card PC Adapter (DPC-AD) and use it with both my laptop and dvd player.

I always seemed to be needing to download pictures right before I needed to leave with the camera. It would take forever with some of the video files so buying this adapter is a great help. It works fine with my laptop and I don't have to miss any opportunities for taking new pictures because I can plug it in and leave with my second memory card in the camera.

I bought a XD to CF adapter, as per the picture on the page. Instead I received, as others did, a PMCIA adapter which is not what I wanted or needed. For the first time, I felt cheated by Amazon and don't know what to do. Hope to receive some explanation.

This is not an xD to Compactflash card adapter. If you order this item number, you will receive a PC card adapter that accepts xD picture cards and SmartMedia cards and fits your PCMIA 2.1 slot on a PC or Mac. It is not for a camera or substitute for a Compactflash card. There is nothing compact flash about it. The product you will recieved does not look like the photo on amazon's website.
