Have used the camera for awhile now...it takes excellent, sharp photos and video, and is easy to use. The memory card slips right into my Macbook Air, and editing is no problem. It's great cause it's so small, and has quite a few cool functions. At $90, you can't go wrong.

It's a great camera to take on trips with you because it's small and takes good quality pictures. Recommend buying it if you want a light but good quality camera to carry around.

Review by Stan. In the bright sun its fine. Inside and for fast motion/ sports the lens is not fast enough at f3.3. Also, it does not take the picture when you press the button, there is a time lag, and a large time lag between pictures. Nikon COOLPIX L28 20.1 MP has a slightly faster lens at f3.2, but had all the same problems. I'm still looking for a point and shoot with AA batteries and a faster lens.

I got one of these recently and tried to set it up this afternoon. What an exercise! First, the Mac software is only for Power PC (the ten year old operating system for Macs) up through v.10.6--although I like most people are running 10.9 now, which doesn't recognize this old software. I did have an old MacBook Pro running 10.6.8, so loaded it on that. The software loaded easily, however it COULD NOT FIND ITS OWN CAMERA drive! Yes, I had formatted the SD disc that came with it (and another I'd bought--that one showed up momentarily ONCE, then never again). I tried an old 128 MB SD disc from an old, reliable Kodak camera, and that worked in the Fuji camera as did the other discs--equally good pictures on all, except that of course I can't pull them off the multi-gig MP discs even though I can see them in the camera viewer. Ironically, the Kodak AND Fuji software both saw the Kodak drive which came up when I inserted the SD disc in an old separate card reader too small in capacity for the mulit-gig cards. The Kodak knew that the images had been shot on the Fuji, but displayed them. The Fuji Finepix software knew that the images were there in the Kodak drive and displayed them IN THE KODAK DRIVE software on my Mac (but again, NOT from its own camera!). I've got a new large card reader coming and will try to use that, but expect that I will never be able to effectively use the cards while in the camera--and the batteries fall out every time you retrieve the card from the camera to put in a reader. YES, the camera is easy to use...but what good is a camera that you have to go through all this hassle with?Read more ›
