Well made, but poor design
on January 31, 2015
I'll make this simple. Place the camera in your hand and wrap your fingers and thumb around it. Your thumb will come to rest at about the shutter dial. Not WAY over to the edge of the camera body as this one does. I have the X100 and X100s and I use the Thumbs Up EP-5s. Expensive? Yes, but if you're spending $1000 on a camera, spring for a grip that actually compliments it. And, more importantly, works. Don't get me wrong. Lensmate, and others, make excellent grips, but they just don't fit the geometry of this camera. 1 star for the idea. 1 star for the quality. -3 stars for ergonomics.
