Unlock the imprisoned Splendor, October 30, 2006
This review is from: Fulfill Your Heart's Desire (Audio CD)
There are a lot of schools of thought that say it is wrong to have desires. Some people want to be free of all desire. In other words, they desire to be desireless. It is just a guesstimate, but I would say that the world's problems are not because most of us have a fulfilled and wonderful life, but because most of us feel empty and sad. We feel if we could just catch a "break"...if we just won the lottery, or had a supportive family life or had friends' that supported us, or lived in another state, or had been born just five years earlier...y'know the list...I used to have a list just like that. I remember the day I had to look at my life right in the face, and by all appearances, it did not look pretty. In fact, it looked pretty beat up, bruised, and in badly need of repair. But what book could I read, what seminar could I attend, what tape cassette could I listen to that would solve all my problems and make my life absolutely wonderful?
The fact is, no matter how sad it may sound, is that nothing "outside" of us can "fix" our world. We must learn to somehow go within, past the noisy racous that our brain likes to kick up, past the assorted images that we keep laying around to prove to ourselves and the world that we don't measure up, past all appearances and learn to get still, quiet, and open.
No, of course it's not easy. But you do it and you do it again and again and again and you sit with yourself and your stuff until you are able to look at your life without breaking into "victim's" tears and have the clear thought, hey, I created all this stuff in my life, maybe I can uncreate it.
Welcome to first step of self-empowerment; taking charge of your creations. The truth is, that each one of us does create our own life. Each one of us is 100% responsible for what we are thinking, feeling, and imaging. But if we created all this, how do we uncreate it?
We begin by asking ourselves a seemingly innocent question, "What do I really desire my life to look like?"
Again the waterworks fly and the blood pressure goes out of control and we feel totally frazzled because for the most part, we were not taught to ask for what we desire. It's not right to ask for what I want...what about others...oh, I tried asking for what I wanted and I never got it...God doesn't want me to have things while upon the Earth, I'm waiting till I die before I get my reward...it's not right for me to have lots of money, nice clothes, a big house, and great sex...
It isn't?
This world is a sad by-product of a mass of individuals who does not know what their hearts truly desire. Because believe me, if we did have all the desires of our hearts fulfilled, it certainly would not look like this. We wouldn't have poverty, or hunger, or as much crime or abuse as we have now. Oh, I'm not being naive, I know we would always have some because even Jesus said, "The poor will be with you always..." The poor in spirit, the poor in enthusiasm, the poor in desire; but for the most part, if we all got a little clearer about what our hearts desired to express, what our minds desired to extend, and what our souls desired to experience we would literally transform the world as we know it.
So I invite you to write out a list of what you really, really desire. Don't be afraid to be childlike, don't be afraid to be outrageous, don't be afraid to ask for what you really, really desire. If you could have anything, without any kind of limits, what would desire to be, to do, to have? Get clear, be specific, get wild.
For example:
I desire to live out my Spirituality in a wonderful way through insight, humor, and creativity.
I desire to have at least twelve paying clients aweek.
I desire to live in a beautiful home at the beach that looks out over the ocean.
I desire to make over $10,000 a month doing what I love to do.
I desire to write and illustrate a series of books. I desire to write from the depths of my soul and make all who read my books feel a sense of joy, compassion and love.
You do know what you desire to bring forth, you really do and that is why I am suggesting this beautiful CD by Kelly Howell so that you can finally unlock the "imprsoned slendor" that lies within. There are two tracks to this CD and one of them is a very powerful guided meditation. After a few listens, you actually start moving into a place of deeper and deeper relaxation and you no longer think of your desires as silly or futile, but you begin to know, to feel, to sense that not only do you have desires, but your desires also have desires. In a way, a deep and beautiful way, your desires want you just as much as you want them; that is why they are yours, they belong to you and they have belonged to you from the very beginning.
The second track is nothing but beautiful meditative music. I use this time to go into a very brief, 10 minute meditation just to get back to center and then I use the other 20 minutes to write about other desires that I have or look at the scrapbook that I keep pictures of what I desire in. I feel the feelings of already having the things I want to be, and have, and do. Hey, it was my desire to share my desires with you. I am hoping that through my sharing, you, too, will be bold enough to claim your portion of this Infinitely Abundant universe we all live, move, and have our being in.
Buy this gorgeous CD and let it help you to get a little clearer, a little more specific, a little more enthused that you really can live a life of Prosperity, Blessings, and Healings of every kind.
Shine brightly.
Shine beautifully.
Peace and Blessings...
