Several Five Star Songs on this CD,
By
This review is from: Full Attention (Audio CD)
yes I love this CD. Especially great are song #3 and #7. Our radio stations have been playing Sweetly Broken for months and it's very popular. It is a great song. But I have to say that I love song #3 even more. It's my favorite song right now. This song is about awe of God in worship. It's about His grace. The musical tambre and vocal qualities express broken, humble and passionate intensity that is rare. It's a GREAT song.
I first heard this song #3 Stand in Awe at a conference in California. I was sent a free copy of this cd (cuz I'm a pastor I guess) and I started listening to it. Between the conference (where Jeremy led it live) and this cd I have been blessed over and over. We keep this cd in our car right now and are listening to it on the way to the church office every day....and I've found that I can listen to Stand in Awe three times in a row and want to hear it again (am I hooked or what?). I don't like any of the other songs nearly as well, but most of them are really good. I just don't listen to a lot of worship songs repeatedly...but this one I can't get enough of right now. FWIW-I studied music at Wheaton Conservatory of Music for a year before switching to pastoral training in college. I think I do have a good ear for musical quality..and Riddle has a raw and humble quality to his vocals that really fit well with worship music. I give this cd a five star.

Incredible new artist. The Lyrics are incredible. This has to be the best new artist and cd of 2007. Jeremy has raised the bar for worship music. I feel like I am with a young David as he played his harp to the Lord. Amazing. Jeremy and Bebo Norman to standard setters!

Get your heart and head vertical,

Really good CD, musically and spiritually. I love it when you listen to praise and worship and can tell that the worshiper actually spends time in their bible. Some of the lyrics are references to not as well known bible passages that are very profound. The music is top notch, which only adds to the incredibly well done way of getting your heart and head in the right place....looking vertically toward the creator.
Great stuff for starting the day driving with a cup of coffee....especially good for a monday morning : )

Jeremy Riddle has a good voice, but unfortunately all the songs on this cd seem to have the same tune and he can be a bit hard to understand because the words seem to run together. This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. If you read the lyrics, it makes it easier to understand him and oh my goodness, how awesome these lyrics are. This guy has a heart for God and truly seems to understand brokeness and worship. Write these on your heart.

Wow! Wow! Wow! This is my favorite worship album I've ever heard and believe me I've listened to a lot of them! Jeremy Riddle's voice, music, lyrics, and best of all his heart really shine through in a most humble, sincere way on Full Attention. The rawness of this album is very apparent and gives the listener a great opportunity to stand before the throne of God and pour out their hearts to Him in love and gratitude. I believe and hope that Riddle is a modern day David and hope that he always stays "Sweetly broken" for the rest of his days so he can continue to create more great raw worship to a great and holy God who deserves to be glorified.

There's a lot of songs on here that sound good that you could actually do for worship. "More than a Friend" sounds kinda like a cheesy name, but it's a BEAUTIFUL song. There are some songs on here that "rock out", too. His voice sounds a little like another Jeremy (Camp), but the instrumental sound is a little more airy and atmospheric. It's a pretty unique sound, but familiar enough to keep you comfortable with it.
Just after I typed the previous paragraph (this is an edit), I decided to listen to it in my living room while holding my 1-yr-old son. He never falls asleep while someone's holding him. He must have liked this song. He wasn't even tired, and he was OUT. It was precious.

I first heard of Jeremy Riddle, like most people, through the song "Sweetly Broken." This is an incredible song, one of the best I have heard in years. Atmospheric, haunting vocals, and with words that hit you right in the heart. After hearing this song, I had extremely high expectations for this CD - and because of that, I was left a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong; this is a good CD with some very good songs on it. But none of them come close to "Sweetly Broken." I liked "God Of All Glory" and a few of the other songs. I think he has great potential (because his voice is amazing) and he can only get better. Definitely a four-star album worth adding to your collection.

My favorite songs on the CD are: God of all Glory, and Sweetly broken. The music, lyrics and voice are like a prayer from the heart into the throne room of the living God. If the listener will be able to let go of earthly woes, he music could take him up into the heavens in spirit, for a refreshment of the soul and an encouragement to take up new upcoming tasks in life.
