MOTOR CITY MADMAN KICKS IT UP IN 2000,
By
This review is from: Full Bluntal Nugity (Audio CD)
First let me take issue with Richard P Mayhew's review. If you think that the f-word was used only once on DOUBLE LIVE GONZO, you'd better go dust it off and listen to it again. Additionally, I let a friend at work listen to FULL BLUNTAL NUGITY and he immediately asked the question "is Sammy Hagar with Ted?" He heard Sammy, and so did I. Hearing Van Halen, well that's another thing. And by-the-way, my friend went and purchased his own copy after listening to only about half of mine. How's that for word-of-mouth or sound-to-ear advertising?Terrible Ted jams, period. All of his stuff is great. STRANGLEHOLD has always been my favorite Nugent song. "Here I come again now baby, like a dog in heat". And I've never heard this song sound as good as it does here. "...See how simple this s-word is..." ALL THE SONG'S HERE ARE TIGHT AND A FRESH PRESENTATION OF SOME OLD CLASSICS. Worth the price for FRED BEAR alone. TED'S THE MAN! KEEP ROCKIN'

I don't have a lot to say about this CD, except that it rocks. Ted's politics drive me crazy, but I heard a few tracks from this CD and had to own it. Great guitar tones and rock attitude. The guy can still deliver the rock.A very pure live rock album. Ted fans should eat this up, newbies might want to start with this one -- he revisits many of his best tunes with tremendous evergy. Well recorded, too.

Well, I don't agree with some of you on the foul language. I am not a proponent of using it every day but I don't see any reason to turn the CD off. I saw him (by himself) about 2 weeks ago with the new band and went right out and got this disc. It freakin' rocks!! No, I am not a redneck. I just think Uncle Ted can crank himself so hard that it makes my ears bleed! And I don't care if I have heard these songs before. I still love 'em!!! The first instrumental was a full-blown assault on my eardrums!! AND I LOVED IT!!! Fred Bear on this was great as an acoustic number. When I saw him he did it electrically and it was great then too. Too bad the CD didn't come with a video portion for everyone to visualize a Ted show. He has so much frickin' energy I hope I can do half that when I reach his age. UNCLE TED, YOU ROCK DUDE!!! KEEP IT COMING!!!

I have been a Nuge fan forever, I have seen alot of Teds concerts over the years and he just keeps getting better and better. If you love Ted you must get this CD, Its the best live work I have heard from the motor city madman. If you liked double live gonzo, Hammersmith, this one puts them to shame. This CD kept me up all night and let me tell you Nuge fans Im still rockin to it right NOW...

Take a white kid. Give him dead deer. Give him a Gibson. Dont give him synthetic high's. Give him a really loud voice. Say hello to Ted.This album is so stinking intence i got goose bumps more than once. This album catches the Nugent attitude, philosophy and madness on cd....almost as well as a live concert. As a guitar player I say this is an amazing album. Ted plays rhythem, lead, and sings, plus he (even though you can't see it) flyies around stage like a maniac. The playing is flawless. I weep inside because I know i can never do what he does. My big problem with the CD (which I bet none of you care about). WHY DOES MENDOZA USE A PHASER ON STRANGLEHOLD???? It sounds dumb. real dumb.

Ted Nugent's Third Great Live Album,
By
This review is from: Full Bluntal Nugity (Audio CD)
FULL BLUNTAL NUGITY is Ted Nugent's third great live album. It contains several of his most identifiable standards including "Hey Baby", "Cat Scratch Fever", and his personal "Free Bird"/"Green Grass And High Tides"-type extended rocker, "Stranglehold." The opener, "KLSTRPHK", is lame, but that's hardly an issue, as the rest of the material shows Terrible Ted rocking as hard in 2000 as he did in 1975.

The Energy of this CD is worth buying it for...,
By
This review is from: Full Bluntal Nugity (Audio CD)
... from the get-go, Ted and his band (down to a three piece) kick your a$$!!!! Given the atmosphere: New Years Eve co-headlining with his long-time friend Sammy Hagar (who is mentioned but does not appear on this CD), the energy was in the red by the time Ted attacks the stage. The years only seem to show during Ted's rants on-stage: Ted's rapid-fire rants of early 70s seem traded for clear, well-annunciated addresses to his audience. He seems less the testosterone-filled maniac and more rock-n-roll motivational speaker, and this is rather cool! His energy is still there, just channelled differently but nonetheless effectively. The highlights are "Cat Scratch Fever" and "Great White Buffalo," leaving the new track "KLSTERPHK" to the opening "motivational speach" while amazingly keeping the energy building. Be prepared to be slammed with this CD!

Great Latter-Day Live CD From The Motor City Madman,
By
This review is from: Full Bluntal Nugity (Audio CD)
FULL BLUNTAL NUGITY, Ted Nugent's incredible 2001 live album, is even better in this 2009 reissue. The remastering is warm and crisp, and makes you feel like you're actually in the concert hall in Detroit where he was playing that night. Nugent's continued advocacy of capital punishment/life without parole for aggravated kidnapping is refreshing in an era dominated by anarchists such as Pearl Jam and others of their kind. Buy this CD anywhere you can.

Cool CD, with Fresh New Versions,
By A Customer
This review is from: Full Bluntal Nugity (Audio CD)
Forget all the negative reviews people are writing here. This is a great sounding live album! If you saw Ted on the KISS farewell tour and liked his current band and the fresh new versions of his music, this CD is for you. It captures what he is doing now and does it very well. All the other reviewers don't seem to care very much about Ted Nugent and make very uninformed statements in their reviews. The 30 sec. song samples speak for themselves, enjoy!

Pure energy and excellant sound quality,
By "bownart" (Denver, CO. United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Full Bluntal Nugity (Audio CD)
The most impressive thing about this cd is the pure energy and the excellant sound qauality. For a live recording, the quality is unbeatable. Uncle Teddy has also graced this live performance with some serious Tednacity. One would think that a 53 year old rock star would be slowing down or selling out...not Ted. All of the classics are here and performed with more energy and soul than was present on Double Live Gonzo. If you liked Double Live, you will love this cd. Ted's dialogue between songs says it all...he truly loves to play guitar. High points of the cd are an incredible version of Cat Scratch, and Stranglehold with an attitude. Marco Mendoza does a spitting image of St. Holmes on Hey Baby and Ted really lays into the blues riff. Enjoy!
