This CD is sure to become a classic. Great melodies combined with exception vituosity by each of the performers. This is a must have CD for anyone that enjoys contemporary jazz. I expect this to be one of the outstanding CDs released this year.

Mediocre for Benoit,

I have been a DB fan for a while but simply found nothing new in his latest effort. The beginning is basically the same as "Fuzzy Logic" and "Right Here, Right Now", and the whole CD's format is just too predictable and less jazzy than before. He's probably trying to be a bit Brizilian but just not quite there...
Not impressive at all!

David Benoit goes back to his roots,

Another very good David Benoit recording. He concentrates on making good contemporary jazz with excellent musicians (Paul Jackson, Jr., Luis Conte, JR Robinson, etc.) Benoit veers away from smooth jazz and delivers distinctive Benoit themes. 'Hope to hear more CDs like this one from David Benoit.

Why so short?,

I keep buying David benoit CDs, no matter whether the previous one was good or less good. To me this one is (only) as good as the previous one, however the musicians featured here are some of the best ones of today. You hear the familiar tones of BB's bass etc. What I can not understand is why a composer of this caliber comes out with a 40 minute short CD. This is truly disappointing. He could deliver any length of music from his vast repertoire. May be next time.

David Benoit is simply superb,as usual. This is one of the CD's that I use to "decompress" with. Listening to Benoit just makes you feel good. I suggest you place your stereo in a quiet room, dim the lights, sit back with your significant other and a glass of Pino and enjoy.

Once again David Benoit delivers an outstanding performance. Having listened to David Benoit for over 20 years, I am constantly amazed at his versatility and virtuoisity on the piano. He surrounds himself with excellent musicians and plays in a style that is reminiscent of his early works. He is the king of the smooth jazz piano.

Pales in comparison to the early GRP years..,
This review is from: Full Circle (Audio CD)
This is just pure fluff, in my opinion. DB's releases from 1987-91 were his best.
Ever since then, almost every release has just been ho-hum, lacking distinct, memorable melodies and grooves. Sorry, I'm a big fan, I just think Benoit has lost his way...

i've been a long fan of david benoit and i practically have all his cd's from "heavier than yesterday" to "orchestral stories". it's good to hear him play tunes similar to his roots, contemporary jazz. however, i still would like to hear more tunes like the ones in "shaken not stirred", "every step of the way", "urban daydreams", "inner motion" and the rest of his grp releases.
