I actually stumbled upon this album while looking for English Beat albums. It looked interesting so I gave it a listen and immediately fell in love! I bought this album and listened to it nonstop for 3 weeks, and then went on to buy every album I could find by the Big Bossman. The jazz funk sound of the seventies is brought to the future in a perfect jam band style. I love dancing to this album as well as driving to it. Great band!

I have not stopped listening to this CD since I received it. This is a perfect blend of smokey, jazzy, Brady Bunch, I'm gonna have me a cocktail sort of CD.
Starting with the first track you get transported to a different era. You sit there as the music makes your mind flow to a club where you see a bunch of cool hipsters sipping on cocktails as they sway to the music. All the songs after the first track make you see images of a different time. Track 11 makes you feel as if you are part of a Brady Bunch episode where you are there as the Brady kids are thinking up of a scheme to get Alice and her butcher boyfriend back together. Great CD with a lot of tunes that will make you reminisce of a different time. Highly recommend this CD. |
