I bought this one on the recommendation of a friend. He was right on the money. This CD rocks from start to finish, except track 4, I just can't get into that one. Everything else sounds great. This sounds like AC/DC meets Guns'N Roses. It has a raw sound to it, not overproduced but more like they were just in a jam session and recorded it. Great riffs, good lyrics, and overall a great CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Drummers from hell!!!, December 14, 2006
This review is from: Full Frontal Attack (Audio CD)
I had bought this disc back when it came out. Little did I know then that this group would not leave my cd player for the next 15 or so years. The songs are great with excellent vocals but what makes this album stand out is the drummer. I have never to this day heard anyone have so much fun pounding on the drums as he obviously has on this album. he just can't slow down. So sit back, crank it up and enjoy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Overlooked 80's, April 15, 2010

Kings of the Sun are not your typical 80's hair band! They've definitely got they're own sound, so sample it if you can first. I will admit that the only reason I bought this is for the nostalgia factor. I really liked the first album way back when, so when the second one came out, I bought it. I remembered liking two songs then but now that I'm older, I think it's better than I remembered it being.

4.0 out of 5 stars For your car., January 2, 2010

Kings of the Sun are one of those forgotten bands that coulda/shoulda/woulda. An Australian mob who put out one excellent album of tunes featuring solid as oak yet connective riffs and worthy-of-your-dollar everyman vocals. But it wasn't this album - it was the preceding one!

On Full Frontal Attack the Kings attempt to rekindle the same X factor of muscle car nirvana and while they certainly give it the old college try things here don't quite stack up. But if you can get this album cheaply it's certainly worth doing so however as even if their muse is a little flatter on this album it is - in the words of author Martin Popoff - serious car tunes. This album can be played pretty much from end to end such is it's honesty and grit and the simple production job augments things nicely. Also if you liked/loved their self titled debut then that is another reason to grab this raft of tunes.

I mean seriously, given the price this thing is going for 2nd hand as I write there isn't much reason to pass it by if simple loud rock `n' roll is your thing.
