I have been listening to John Farnham music since I was in school (sorry John). I have come to love many American artists but John's music makes me feel at home. Wonderful music to listen to on any occassion. Since coming to live in the US it has been difficult to buy his music and I'm glad I found it here.

Back in the early 1990's when John Farnham was a hot commodity (still is now) and his popularity was off the charts he did many concerts and this concert was packed out to the brim here in Sydney. Hence the CD was self titled after the concert. It's a charmer of a CD and my only complaint is the crowd is rarely heard....I am one for crowd participation if this is indeed intended to be a Live performance. Most of the hits from his albums were sung with Farnham's great talented band. He truly is a Aussie icon and we are all proud of our Johnny Farnham. In this CD there are no new songs so it is old material reprised but it doesn't detract from this beautiful performance. Go Johnny, go!

FULL HOUSE is a collection of Farnham's live performances at three different venues in the late eighties. Most of the Aussie superstar's signature songs are included and as expected his voice is in fine form. Like a fellow reviewer, I too would have preferred more audience reaction but it doesn't detract from the album's impact.
My faves on this disc:
WHEN THE WAR IS OVER - first recorded with the LRB on the "No Reins" album, this is a beautiful song enriched by Farnham's passionate vocal.
AGE OF REASON - truly euphoric with one great hook --- "what about the world around us"...one of Johnny's best.
YOU'RE THE VOICE - this anthemic song was an international smash with a singalong-ready chorus. And that great bagpipe solo!
BURN FOR YOU - John's voice is superb on this gorgeous song. Stunning.
HELP - a risky tempo change works for Farnham and the audience eats it up.
PRESSURE DOWN - bouncy and joyful - it's a fun song.
PLEASE DON'T ASK ME - often critically reviled as maudlin, I say Pshaw! It's a great love song and became synonymous for Farnham's concerts. John always does it beautifully!
Although Farnham has sadly retired, he is a legendary universal superstar, and every song on this album shows us why.
