Product Description

Full Page Fresnel Lens Magnifying Sheets. These are good quality magnifying sheets. They are great for reading newspapers, books and menus. Each 3X magnification sheet measures 7 x 10.25 inches with no boarder. They are made from Flexible high quality optical PVC. This allows them to be thinner with less distortion then thicker 3X magnification sheets and also makes them very lightweight and easy to hold. Optical PVC is also virtually shatterproof. Despite being flexible, they can still be held level over a surface with just 3 fingers on one corner or a side as pictured. Each sheet is protected in a reusable protective plastic sleeve. Lens Specifications: 7.00" x 10.25" (Inches). Thickness: 0.4mm. Weight: 26 grams. Material: optical PVC. Groove pitch: 0.3mm. Focal length: 300mm. Magnification: 3X.

Worked great for reading small print.

Since this was a short term need I did not spend any more money trying to find something else that did work.
Lynda Elms
Threw it in the trash, didn't even bother sending it back for a refund; not worth the time.

Works as described! Bought this for my grandmother--here are some thoughts:

For those who may not understand how the Fresnel lens works, there is no magnification if the lens is directly against the object or sheet you are trying to magnify. As you pull away holding the lens, what you view will gradually magnify. As far as I can tell, the maximum 3X magnification for this particular lens is approximately six inches from what you are viewing.

This magnifier is not as flimsy and unwieldy as some suggest. It is possible to comfortably hold the lens in landscape (horizontally) with one hand at the bottom corner as the product image suggests, but you will find it more effective and easier to manage if you use two hands in landscape. Holding it in portrait (vertically) with one or two hands is not as comfortable, personally.

And that's my review for this concentrically-lensed magnifying piece of plastic! :)

This was intended as a gift for an Uncle who has cataracts, and is myopic. I put the lens in an old wooden picture frame for him. So he can hold the entire lens with one hand while he reads. Bought one for me, too, since this problem got passed down to me, too...

I previously left a Feedback Review of "I have nothing good to say, I have nothing bad to say". I am changing that to the product does what it says. But unfortunately, I need a stronger magnifying strength. It's not JupiterWholesales' fault that the 3X Full Page Magnifier Fresnel Lens was not the Magnifying strength that I needed. I just chose the wrong one. It's a good product to have in a jiffy to read small print that you would otherwise squint to see.

Purchased for my father when he broke his glasses and had to wait to for his new pair - he used it to read the news paper, books, and had no complaints about it.

If you want something you can slip into a book when not in use, I guess this would be OK, but I found the flimsiness of the product meant it bent, warped and distorted my text. I like the Mighty Bright magnifier better.

We bought this for elderly parents. It is just too hard for them to hold it in exactly the right place for reading. Maybe we were expecting too much.

Very difficult to use because of need to constantly hold the Magnifier a certain distance above the page to get even a minor improvement. I bought this product for my husband and he felt it was useless. The so-called "magnification" was disappointing, too. I intend to send the product back.

I was hoping to be able to move my eyes around the 'page' that this magnifier presents. And it sort of works under "well lighted" conditions .. meaning not in direct sunlight, and DEFINITELY not when the main lighting comes from overhead. The Fresnel lens acts as a shadow, blocking out the illumination in many situations in which I would like to use it

Also I don't like having to hold it with my possibly greasy fingers. I might have given it a more neutral rating had it included a simple "holder" (i.g. like a flexible neck lampstand attached to a solid rim frame. )i
