This violin came just as described! It's an amazing purchase for what we paid. It comes with just about everything you need to start playing and is perfect for someone just learning or someone has years of experience. We would highly recommend this product!!

Overall this violin is not bad. There were no notches in the bridge and the tailpiece had to be fixed to stay on completely. The sound quality is pretty descent though. For the price I would recommend it to someone who just needs a cheap violin, IF they know how to work on it!

I bought this violin to learn on, and it has proved to be a good choice so far.

It is inexpensive as far as violins go.

It has a good sound, a quality bow, and comes with instructions on how to care for the instrument and techniques for playing it.

I like the color, it is a darker purple than what is pictured.

The instrument and the case are light weight, and the case comes with straps which enable it to be turned into a back pack like style.

I would recommend this for anyone just beginning, in case that person changes their mind since it much less costly than a new or even a used instrument.

I purchased this instrument for my sister for Christmas, she's always wanted to learn. It arrived in plenty of time but will not keep tuned. Very disappointing. It was very cheaply made and the tuning knobs were plastic. The only plus was the case that came with it. It's a very nice case.

First of all, I would like to say that none of the pictures for this violin accurately represent this instrument. It's a lot darker purple than pictured. Also, the pegs and chin rest are black, not brown. Anyways, I do love this violin a lot.
But, I knew when I purchased this violin that it would be cheap. Everyone thinking of buying this instrument should know that any violin below hundreds of dollars is going to be CHEAP QUALITY! Besides, its purple. Do you expect professional quality? Okay okay, I'm done with my pointless rant. But, I do love the color on this violin, and that was the main reason why I bought it. I wasn't looking to do anything major with this violin, because I am primarily a cellist. I just wanted to learn violin on a cheap purple one. It doesn't sound horrible, but it is very hard to tune considering that every time you try to tune it, the pegs slip. When you finally get the pegs to stay in place, five minutes later they slip back again. Ugh. Well, I snapped the E string, and so I brought it to a music store. I asked them to restring the whole violin and possibly fix the pegs. They thought the overall violin wasn't bad, but the pegs were 'broken' and I should replace them. No suprise there. But, it will probably cost 50 dollars or so. I also have to point out that the bow is incredibly cheap, and I should probably replace that too. Probably about another 50-100 dollars for at least a little better of quality.
Another thing, as soon as I opened the case of rosin, it crumbled into a million little rosin pieces. Great. But its okay, rosin is fairly cheap, 3-15 dollars.
But after all of this, I'm still happy. Why? Because my violin is purple.
