Editorial Reviews

Review

"Richard Hallows, 42, wound up his telecomm business to become a stay-at-home dad when his son Alex, now three, was born so wife Debbie, 38, could continue her management career. He now also looks after their one-year-old daughter, Maria, and takes care of the domestic chores at the family home near Buckingham. He has written a guide to being a full-time father - a must for the UK's estimated 155,000 fellow stay-at-home dads. Here, he tells Angela Carless how he adapted to his new role...." "Femail", the Daily Mail "My book Full Time Father, which is guide for stay-at-home dads, was borne out of my experiences and I believe is the first time this has been done from a British dad's viewpoint." Richard Hallows

About the Author

When Richard Hallows discovered that his wife earned significantly more than he did, and what's more she was pregnant, he realised there was only one course of action open to him. He gave up work to become a stay at home father. He had spent twenty years working in the telecommunications industry; unfortunately the skills he had acquired left him almost completely unprepared for his new role. This is the story of how he adapted and evolved to deal with the challenges of this strange new world. He and his wife now have two children and live in Buckinghamshire.
