I'm a snack food junkie, especially for anything chocolate. Last year I was on NutriSystem and I was able to lose 25 lbs.; however, as soon as I went back to eating regular grocery store-bought food, I gained it all back.A month ago I saw a commercial on TV for the Fullbar. I didn't want to order directly from Fullbar (more costly) so I got a couple Fullbar samples from a drugstore (cocoa and peanut butter). These remind me a lot of Rice Krispy Treats. They are fairly large in size for a diet bar. The peanut butter was ok, and I would probably buy this flavor again if I get tired of the cocoa flavored bars. They appear to be puffed wheat bars blended with some other ingredients. I tried making my own using a Rice Krispy treat recipe but they just were not the same. It must be some missing secret ingredient that causes these to work because when I tried making my own I was just as hungry as I normally would be. Yes, they are kind of expensive but you will be buying a lot less "other" food and they are way cheaper than NutriSystem would be. Plus I get to eat regular grocery store food so I don't feel like I am missing out, so there are no temptations. I eat two Fullbars a day. One 30 minutes before lunch and also 30 minutes before dinner, each with a full glass of water. You still eat a regular meal, but much less than without eating the Fullbar. In fact, I almost force myself to eat I feel so stuffed. In two weeks of doing this, I have lost over 10 lbs.

This product is great and does work. I was a bit sceptical, especially when I saw the original price on the Full Bar web site, but then saw that Amazon.com offered is for far less. The bars are good. I tried the cocoa and it is tastes a bit cocoa-ey but not a lot of taste in it so it doesn't taste aweful or so good that you'll keep eating more than one at a time. lol It is a bit chewy and reminds me of the Digggin Smacks cereal w/o the sugar. Also, it does suppress your appetite. Some times I would forget to eat after eating a bar w/8 oz of water and 1/2 later when it is time to eat dinner, there were occasions when I forgot to eat! The bars are low calorie and really help.

Fullbar can be a viable tool in a weight loss program. I buy the cocoa chip flavor, which I actually like; the peanut butter flavor is ok as well. What I do is eat the Fullbar, then I wait for about 20 minutes before drinking a glass of water. When I eat the Fullbar, I don't necessarily feel full; instead, I find that I simply don't think about eating. This is important because as anyone trying to lose weight can tell you - it's not about being hungry; more often than not, it's about craving certain foods, and not being able to eat them in moderation. As someone else commented, you can eat an apple and feel full, especially if you slice up the apple first. And the apple may help suppress the cravings as well as the Fullbar does (I'll have to pay better attention after eating one.) Maybe what I experience with the Fullbar is the placebo effect - and if it helps me lose weight, that's fine with me! Fullbar is not meant to be a miracle cure - nothing is - it's just a tool. We still need to discipline ourselves to eat healthfully, EXERCISE, and forego those foods that we know we're unable to eat in moderation - so long, peanut butter M&M's (sigh). One last note re weight loss: If you've watched The Biggest Loser regularly, what you notice is that even with top notch exercise equipment and trainers, there are weeks when contestants not only don't lose any weight, but actually gain weight. Losing weight can be complicated, and if you find something that seems to help and it doesn't hurt you, then I say, try it.

My wife started using fullBar a year ago to stop herself from snacking on junk food between meals. She wasn't super over weight, but she didn't want to gain anymore. She used the product daily and in no time she began losing weight. I started taking Fullbars to work because i'm one of those guys that is always hungry and end up eating junk food between meals. Now I have my morning cereal at 6am, around 10am I have a FullBar, then a small lunch and i'm full till dinner. I now I fit into my jeans nicely, actually I need a belt again. I think the Cocoa Bars are the best, but I recently found BBQ flavor full bites at Walgreens and love them! Fullbar Cocoa Chip, 1.59-Ounce Bars (Pack of 12)

I like them, but different strokes for different folks,

I was skeptical about this but thought, "why not?" I bought the peanut butter, chocolate, and banana bread flavors. I also tried the cheese thingings. They are working for me. The first day, I had a large naval orange 30 minutes after my bar and I didn't want anything else to eat. Some people were saying that they taste terrible, well, I guess it depends on what people have been eating all along. I was already on the road to eat healthier and found that some of the processed food is either too salty, greasy, or full of fat. The fullbars were great. I would carry one in my bag and eat one on the way home with a large (16 oz or larger) cup of water. I don't have to use plates anymore. A saucer will do just fine. I only use fullbar for my dinner meals and I have lost 4 pounds since I started eating them a week ago. No more crazy cravings and outrageous appetite. In honor of Gary Coleman (rest his soul), there are different strokes for different folks and some plans won't appeal to everyone. So far, I am happy with my results. I haven't tried a bar that was gross yet, but peanut butter and chocolate deserve 5 stars in my book. Best of luck to you!

these are ok. The taste reminds me of stale Smacks (the cereal). I dont mind the taste, it does help keep you a little more full. I use these when im on the go and get hungry but cant eat for another hour or so. I havent lost any weight though.

I really like these bars! After reading other reviews, I decided to go with the cocoa chocolate chip bar. They're really good! I mean, would I rank it as delicious as a chocolate cake? Of course not. However, for what they do, they're delicious. They taste kind of like a rice cake with chocolate. They also work for the intended purpose. I don't always have time to eat a full breakfast before work in the morning, so I just drink 16 oz of water and eat a full bar. It keeps me satisfied all the way through the day. I only eat one of these and it keeps me full all the way until dinner! It also helps me reach my water quota for the day. These aren't miracle bars, but for any of you who just want some help with portion control because you feel hungry from your dieting efforts, this is the bar for you!

these bars are not only tasty, they are very effective in filling the stomach. I was able to eat less and sustain myself between meals. I would recommend these bars to anyone who is interested in losing weight without dieting the old fashioned way of feeling hungry all of the time. My stomach did not growl or make funny noises all the time and the bars ( I chose the chocolate ones ) are really tasty!!

NOOOO!!! Disgusting taste, poor nutrition, high calories.,
By HotInSATX (San Antonio, TX) - See all my reviews

These bars are nothing more than a gimmick: their creator has letters after his name, and they taste disgusting, so they must be good for us, right? Read the fine print. Nutritional information shows each bar has about 180 calories. If you're on a reduced-calorie diet, there's half your meal. They're not exceptionally nutritious in any vitamin, nor fiber, nor protein. And then, there's the texture and taste...Texture-wise, the bottoms are similar to month-old rice krispie treats. The tops are the typical grainy clay-like material of poor quality protein bars. But the taste...good grief...I actually gagged on the chocolate brownie flavor. Now, I LOVE dark chocolate, up to 70% cocoa or more. But these bars were so bitter, they almost had a bleach aftertaste. I opened a different bar, gagged again, then threw the entire box away. I actually managed to swallow about half of the chocolate peanut butter flavor bar, but it also had a terrible bitter, almost chemical aftertaste. Halfway through, I threw that entire box into the trash as well. The Full Bar Plan must work by grossing you out so much you don't want to eat anything, especially not another one of those bars before you have a meal. I wish I'd heard the truth before wasting money on yet another gimmick preying on those of us who've struggled all our lives and will try just about anything once. I advise readers not to repeat my mistake with this product. ANY protein bar on the market is likely more nutritious and is -- or can be cut to be -- just as caloric, yet much more satisfying than this nasty product. |
