Good but poor time keeper, June 10, 2010
This review is from: Fully Automatic Dog Cat Pet Feeder with LCD Display - Robust setting of up to three meals/day, and food portion/meal (Misc.)
We own 2 of these food dispensers. It was a life saver, as I have an over eater cat and I work 12 hour shifts. I did not want to leave an unlimited supply of food for her to chow on. After several months though, the clock started to lose time. @ first it was losing several minutes a day, then losing 1/2 hour a day. It feeds by the time of day you have preset so it wasn't feeding @ times it was supposed to, and believe me the cats know when it is supposed to feed. Even after putting fresh batteries in this did not solve problem. Bought a new one (same exact product) and within a year same issue. You would set the clock correctly and in a few days it may be up to an hour behind. Then you get worrying if you cat is being fed at all. If they get a better quality clock in this unit I would buy it a gain. I am on amazon today to buy a new unit but it won't be this one.

Same product as Le Bistro, July 7, 2010
This review is from: Fully Automatic Dog Cat Pet Feeder with LCD Display - Robust setting of up to three meals/day, and food portion/meal (Misc.)
Feeder is the same as Le Bistro, apparently just from a different importer. The manual, at one point, even refers to it as "Le Bistro".
UPDATED REVIEW on 6/21/11: This feeder failed even more rapidly than the PetSafe feeder mentioned below. Started skipping feedings after about 10 months, is now skipping about half of them. Also apparently cannot handle large diameter cat food (3/8"), such as Purina Dental Health.
It has the same faults and advantages as Le Bistro. Our cat immediately determined that he could get a few extra kibbles by putting a paw up the dispensing spout but gave up the effort because so few could be obtained. The timer only permits 3 feedings a day, although there are 4 sets of paddles controlling the feeding. Size of portion can only be 1/4 cup. We have had no problems with the clock in the four months we've had the feeder.
We bought this to replace a PetSafe 5-meal feeder which failed as soon as the warranty expired and about which the company has never responded to our e-mails (see my reviews here and on PetSafe.net).

Questionable Quality, August 1, 2010
This review is from: Fully Automatic Dog Cat Pet Feeder with LCD Display - Robust setting of up to three meals/day, and food portion/meal (Misc.)
We have had this unit for about 1 year, and are always having problems with it. The timer frequently gets reset, and out of sync with real time. Also, the paddles often jam so that no food comes out. Otherwise, it looks nice, has all the right features, seems solid,... it just is not reliable. We are now looking for something that is more reliable, this one isn't.
