This review is from: Fully Fertile: A 12-Week Holistic Plan for Optimal Fertility (Paperback)
For anyone going through the fertility journey, I HIGHLY recommend this book! I have read several books and perused many articles on fertility but this book proved to be the most thorough and holistic. From nutrition to exercise to prayer, it covers every aspect that should be considered while trying to conceive. And even if you're not successful in getting pregnant, the information shared in the book will assist in leading a healthy lifestyle. Thank you, Beth and Tami, for using your gifts and sharing them with others. Namaste.

Wonderful book and very helpful during a process that feels dangerous, chaotic and completely crazymaking. The book pointed out several ways to approach the fertility process and helped me focus on the positive. I bought the yoga dvd that these women have made as well and am looking into taking a local course developed by Pulling Down the Moon. It is not only worth the money but the valuable time to read.

Fully Fertile is an amazing book because it challenged and encouraged me to look at my fertility journey differently. It guided me through easy to follow chapters on meditation, yoga, diet, prayer, etc. that give examples and exercises that can actually be done (for those of us who weren't necessarily comfortable with such things before). I was lucky to be part of the pilot program, and would highly recommend this book to all who are trying to have a baby. For an even better experience I would recommend reading this book with a group of women as a book club so that you can have discussions about the different chapters as you are going through. There are resources in the book to help you find practitioners for different services, and information if you are trying to start a group. Fully Fertile is a heartfelt book that is not only good for fertility preparedness, but also for life.

Exceptional Wisdom,
This review is from: Fully Fertile: A 12-Week Holistic Plan for Optimal Fertility (Paperback)
As part of the pilot program for this book I was so blessed with not only the information and insights that the authors so freely shared, but by the support I feel they gave me during this difficult journey. The enlightenment and encouragment helped me see beyond this desire and discover who I really am. Acupuncture, yoga, nutritional information, meditation and the words of this book allowed me to find balance and peace again. I'm eternally thankful for this book!

For anyone who believes in the power of the mind-body connection for healing, you'll find this book invaluable. In confronting my/our own infertility, I first did a lot of reading about diet, nutrition, and infertility treatments, all very helpful in their own way, most certainly. But I am convinced that this book.... this book... is what truly helped most. It not only addresses the physical aspects of maximizing fertility, it also lifts the reader to a strong place for braving the darkness of inner fears and failures, with the sense of being truly supported by women who know exactly what we the reader are going through.
The yoga routines were easy to learn (I consider myself a moderate beginner), and the visualization exercises were very liberating and very helpful for finding and freeing positive energy. I didn't get the chance to use this book for the full twelve weeks, (though I read most of it, I wished I had more time to really engage with all the material at a slower pace) before emarking on our second round of in vitro (IVF). I faced the treatment with more calm and peace and happiness than I knew was within me. My son was born a year ago, and I believe the good energy and mental state this book brought alive in me was instrumental in his arrival. We're trying to have a second child now. Since I gave my original copy to the (wonderful) doctor who guided us through both IVF treatments, I am back online, looking for a replacment copy, and thought it was due time for me to write a review. There isn't another resource I remember as well or plan to look for this time around.

i have been on the infertility merry go round for many years and haven't gotten off yet..... as a certified yoga teacher, and an avid fan of acupuncture i found this book to be hands the best blend of both worlds with specific exercises for the mind and body. it challenged my current thinking and outlook and i feel much better for it. i highly recommend this to anyone who is struggling or starting on the journey of conception.

I can highly recommend this book and program. Like many women, I was getting frustrated after a year of trying to conceive. When I finally did get pregnant, I miscarried at 10 weeks. My endocrine system was likely a factor. My partner and I didn't want to try IVF and drugs like Clomid until we felt like we had "tried everything" in order to conceive naturally. Having practiced yoga for over 13 years, and being a holistic health practitioner myself, I really thought I knew a lot about yoga, my body and natural health care. But there was so much fertility-specific information I did not know! This book brings it all together so beautifully. I also love the very positive and optimistic tone of the book. So many resources focus on "infertility" and "TTC"... this book focuses on the whole woman, and the process of conceiving and carrying a child to term-- from physical, spiritual, psychological and emotional points of view. The authors have really been there and know what they are talking about. I started a local book group and did this program with several other women in my area, and it was a wonderful experience. I conceived again around week 8 of the program, just three cycles after my miscarriage.

Hands down the best book for dealing with Fertilty issues. The authors have been there and they really get it. In addition they were so generous with sharing their own experince that it made all the difference for me to hear someone else's story. Exceptional wisdom and helps you deal as a whole person: body, mind and spirit. I am so thankful to have read it, it's changed my entire perspective not just on fertility, but with life. I only wish I would have read it years ago! A must read- period.

Great book even for women who are just beginning the journey to get pregnant,

I'm a 30 year old woman who's just began the journey to get pregnant. This book is a great way to focus your energy in getting your mind and body into the best possible position to conceive. The authors truly understand how emotional this process can be and offer great advice for removing the stress women put on themselves when trying to conceive.
I'll probably read it again . . .

Finally there is a book that empowers and educates women in their own fertility. This book is easy to follow and understand, I learned a lot. The yoga poses and the information about acupuncture and meditation helped ground and encourage me. I'm sure a lot of women (and couples) will be helped by this material.
