5.0 out of 5 stars SIMPLY SIMPLY AWESOME
This superb album was given to me by a friend, Glenn. Thanks Glenn, because I can't stop listening. It's one of those albums where many of the beautiful songs subliminally capture your subconsciousness to the extent that you simply can't stop singing the same track again and again. ICE my favourite track is overpowering. The rest a real treat. Spend your money here and...

1.0 out of 5 stars A Waste
Pure schlock, this is one of the worst, if not THE worst CD of all time. Even Milli Vanilli had more talent. Don;t waste your hard earned money on this garbage.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Transcendental Music..., April 21, 1999

Without question, this is truly one of the most eloquently composed CDs I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. If I said that it didn't choke me up and make me feel all warm and fuzzy, then I would be the worst of liars. It takes you to a poetic plane that is undeniably indescribable.

5.0 out of 5 stars There isn't just one word, July 1, 1998

I think I own everything Sarah has ever put out, and I have seen her countless times live...she moves me with every sound she utters--this album and "Freedom Sessions" especially. Although, I feel her music gets better with every release; I think this one makes me quiver the most. I have gotten more people hooked on her since this album's release than any other artist. Definitely a "gotta have"!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best Sarah McLachlan album, and a good starting place.., June 29, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Fumbling Towards Ecstasy (+Bonus Track) (Audio CD)
I've heard all of Sarah's metirial and in my opinion - this is Sarah's best CD. If you wish to get to know her this is the first CD to buy, for it is a very good starting point. Also - if you have other Sarah albums and liked them, make sure this is your next pick. Sarah's voice makes me tremble every time I listen to "Hold on", "Wait" and "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy". This CD also contains the amazing "Elsewhere", which is one of those songs that you just can't stop listening to.. well actually so are most of Sarah's songs :) but this one in praticular.. In one word - Awsome! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars "Fumbling Towards Ecstacy" is awsome!!!!!, November 11, 1998
By A Customer

I think fumbling towards ecstacy is SUCH a good CD! It's one of the few CDs that I own, that I love every track. There are a lot of slow songs, but they are all so good. And I am the kind of person who doesn't usually like slow songs. Hers are deep, thoughtful, and very entertaining. I'd say it's a definate must for any Sarah M. fan, and even those who aren't fans.

Even though I have already reviewed this album, I just had to review it again since I didn't do it justice. Fumbling Towards Ecstasy is a poetic journey through Sarah McLachlan's deepest and most personal thoughts. As in all of her albums, she bares her soul in her music and proves she is one of the most talented singer/songwriters of our time. From the rocking Possession to the beautiful and uplifting title track, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy is an incredible journey to be taken time and again. Sarah's beautiful voice and songwriting skills are magical and so is this album. Highly recommened.

This Cd is Sarah'ultimate masterpiece. Her vocals are at its best and so are the musical arrangements. She journeys through a plethora of viewpoints that a female may travel throughout her lifetime conveying a sense of piercing assertiveness and yet a ton of vulnerability. From POSSESSION to HOLD ON,from ICE CREAM to FUMBLING...,this is a must have for any pop music lover.
